Wille Warren to the clippers...

I dont have any problems with WW going to the Clips or Blake vouching for him. If Blake's comfortable with him it might make the year better for both of them. They might do well together again.

They did alright together once before, i bet they can do it again

Well, I have no doubt Blake will make it big in the NBA – if he stays healthy. And I'm pulling for Willie to make it too. If Blake is healthy and Willie recreates the magic we all saw in his freshman year, maybe folks will start referring to the Clippers as OU West. :)

With all of the question marks and rumors concerning WW's personality, there is no way that the Clips didn't talk to Blake about him to find out what the real story is.

So many people want to brand Willie as a cancer, or an attitude problem, but I really believe he is largely misunderstood.
I agree. Do you think the Clippers contacted AJ or TMG?

After watching the players that got picked last night, I have no doubt that if he can stay healthy Blake will be a star.

Here in LA the clippers are running Blake Griffin commercials. Not Clippers commercials about getting tickets now, Blake Griffn ones. I have no doubt they atleast asked him what he thought about Willie Warren. I might get season tickets now because of this pick, combined with Blake.

He's far from a lock to make the Clippers active roster. With the way last year went I don't see how he could be a lock to make any team let alone the Clippers who have some pretty good backcourt guys. Baron Davis and Steve Blake are too good veteran PG's. Eric Gordon is developing into a stud and is a lot like Willie in that he's a 1/2 combo about 6'3. Gordon isn't going anywhere. They got Eric Bledsoe who obviously is going to be on the team before WW. So basically the Clippers have 3 PG's who are definitely on the team before WW. Then at the 2 they have Eric Gordon and Rasual Butler who started most of the year and was a double digit scorer. Then throw in Aminu who they drafted at the 3 in this draft and there is another guy that takes a roster spot. I think it will be touch for WW to make the roster. He may be a practice squad guy which would probably be the best thing for him to get a year under his belt.

a couple of things .. nba teams don't have practice squads .. they have 15 man rosters ... all are "on the team" .... 2. eric gordon is not close to a "combo" guard he is a 2 period ..

also most of the guys you listed are not on the clippers .. they have 7 guys currently on the team for next season Baron Davis, Eric Gordon, Chris Kaman, BG, deandre Jordan and the 2 first round picks.

that leaves 7 more spots that they are required to fill and 2 optional spots after that ..

WW is almost a 100% lock to make the team

They have 15 on the "active roster" suited up to play each night?
I thought it was 12.

Only 12 are active at any one time, but there are up to 15 on a roster. If you watched the Lakers - Suns series, you would have seen Taylor Griffin sitting on the bench in street clothes (or Adam Morrison if you're a Lakers fan). It's kind of like the NFL having 53 on the "active" roster, but only 48 can suit up for a particular game.

This beats what teams used to do when you could technically only have 12 players on your team - hide a few extras by saying that they are "injured." There were two or three slots for that in years past.

So, Willie Warren can make the 15 man roster in similar fashion to T. Griffin this year, though I believe Warren will be one of their 12 best players. Just a hunch...nothing more. :)

Definitely think Willie has enough game to make the roster this year cause Im sure his potential will show during summer league games etc. However the year after that who knows.

Right, which is why I said he will probably make the roster but not the active roster. It all depends on who they sign.
