List of Things to go Right for a Win:
1. RO coming out party, Needs to 18-20pts and 12-15rebs
2. Limit withey
3. Limit Ben McLemore These 2 are going to score, but we cant let them get 25pts

KU is really good, but they are beatable. They have played close games at Phog and away. Avg Temple, Good ISU, A bad Oregon State.

It will be a really tough game, but jump on them early and try to take the crowd out of the game and see what happens.

The biggest thing will be not getting frustrated with the absolute horrendous officiating that is about to ensue.

I don't like our chances at KU (one reason is what has been listed) but I do agree they are beatable and I think we have a decent chance against them in Norman. I do hope we play a competitive game at KU from start to finish.

We need the Squawkers to expend a LOT of energy and barely nip K-State. If they lose, whatever chance we have will be reduced significantly.

Bingo, refing in Lawrence is why Kansas loses early in the NCAA tournament every year. They are not use to evenly calling games. Refs will be brutal.

That is exactly what I said tonight. We needed them to win, and guess what, they won!

I can't remember the last time we beat KU... Our best chance and Blake got hurt and couldn't play in 09.

2005. Although we all damn well know we actually won in 2006. I've always considered that a win.

Aside from the farce that was 2006, the last time we won in Lawrence was 1993.

We did beat them in Kansas city in 2001 and 2002, which is essentially the same thing. (Just ask Billy Tubbs)

There was once a time where we had won 5 of 7 (counting 2006) against KU. Of course, we all hated that Coach lol. (Spaceman's ears just poked up)

We haven't beaten KU in Lawerence in a generation, probably not gonna happen Saturday. When you play 8-5 in that crap hole of a gym, you better have a pretty salty ball club. OU's just not there yet, but they are well on their way.

Funny, I was talking to my co-worker this morning when the last time the Sooners won against Kansas and he thought it was in 2009 and I told him no, the Sooners could have won if Blake did not get injuried and I was guessing that the last time the Sooners won against Kansas was 2004, I was a year off

That is a very astute statement. It is almost like you have actually played a big road game in college.

Refresh my memory on what happened in 2006?

I remember the game in 1993. Tubbs had a closed practice earlier in the day or day before (can't recall) and all of the media here in KC was making fun of him - like he was actually going to win the game. Terry Evans had a huge game for the Sooners.

We were in control the entire game up by 7-10 most of the game until down the stretch. The last few minutes KU was allowed a number of hacks and over the back fouls that weren't called and they won in the last minute of the game.

It was as bad of an officiated game in Big 12 basketball as I can remember.

IMO, Kruger is the only Big 12 coach who can outcoach Bill Self. I'm not saying he's going to outcoach him but he has the potential. For the first time in a long time, we have an advantage at HC in this series. And I don't say that to slight Sampson or Tubbs because they were great coaches.

As was the case many times last year, we hung with KU (down 1 at the half) and then let them get up on us early in the Second half. Last year we didn't have the depth or the talent to play with teams like KU... However, this year, we have the depth at least. I know this is a different year, but with them coming off a big win @KSU, they are primed for an upset. This could be the year.

I am calling for the upset, and think we can get it done in Lawrence. BTW if we win in Lawrence then we probably wont win the rematch, but at that point I won't care. I would gladly sacrifice a home loss to a team like KU for a road victory over them.

Let's get it done boys!

I have been following college basketball for more than 35 years, and there are only two OU games which I maintain we lost because of the officials: the 1988 NCAA Final and the 2006 game at Phog.

The KSU and MU fans in KC both friends of mine and in the media all commented about how poorly that game was officiated.

all the Jayhawks get treated like LaBron by the refs in the Phog. You can't swat the air 6 inches from a Jayhawk without risking a foul called.
