I am sure hardick was well aware before coming that he wasnt going to play....I think I had read somewere when he officially signed with OU that said "I realize I wouldnt be on scholorship if I hadnt commited so early"

I believe he said something along those lines...

I disagree...he's handled it just fine. Brought him in...gave him 2 years to see improvement and hasn't gotten any and next year he will be gone. Well actually, he would have been gone after last year if we didn't have 3 early departures and 2 transfers along with a couple of graduates.

Its actually good that he is still here. Its nice for our starting post players to be able to go up against some size in practice.

I don't get some of these guys who go places where they just watch other people play basketball. If I am a player, I want to freakin play.

Free education along with the perks that go along with being on the basketball team. He is from here so family and friends are around. He is not going to be playing pro anywhere so might as well get a free education at a good school, seems like a sweet deal to just show up to practice.

If he worked hard in practice, kept his nose clean, and stuck to his studies, then he deserves to keep his scholarship. This isn't the pros, it's college.

It appears he hasn't held up his end on the academic tip, so all bets are off. But if he had, then there'd be no excuse for pulling his scholarship.

capel had plenty of scholarships to work with and he handed them out like candy to a whole bunch of people that didn't really deserve them.

this statement is just silly....he has an athletic scholorship not an academic scholorship....capel needs to be worried about his job not worried what kids will think of him if he kicks them off the team

So ray willis stays two years then goes to capel and asks to leave? dont think so...

Orlando Allen gets his girl pregnant, and he comes out and says he is leaving the team to focus on that but ends up at marshal? dont think so...

Coaches will say kids chose to leave the team just like a good employer will give you the chance to resign instead of being fired...
