Wow! LNC empty.

apparently they said there was 7k fans there last night. there is NO way that is possible! anyone else that went think there was MAYBE 3k

More like 320

I turned it on after i got home and noticed in the sea of empty seats two guys waving towels...now that is atmosphere!

I dont expect these games to be sell-outs, but anyone making excuses for that is really lost...

on a positive note, they played well and was fun to watch them making shots....just wish we could play teams from the SWAC/Southland/Big South all the time...would make this season a whole lot easier to stomach...

What you're saying may apply to pro sports, but it shouldn't apply to college sports. When OU was getting 60-65k into Memorial Stadium during the John Blake years, were they being stupid...or setting the table for OU to attract a big-time coach who understands OU's football tradition and the FANS desire to win?

I was at most of the football games during the Blake era, and while they might have sold 60-65k due to season ticket sales, the stands were not full most games. My dad and I would move from our seats in the Endzone to right behind the OU bench for almost every game

This is not true...there were not that many people attending the games. That's like 85% capacity for the size of the stadium in those days, wasn't happening.

Pro sports and college sports are the same, difference is one pays their players. Both are businesses, below average product receives below average attendance, just the way it goes. Especially now since every game is on TV.

it was pretty noticeable on tv. like, hard to not notice, noticeable.

Well if we are going to make it a habit of having so little people there, we should atleast change the seats so they are Crimson and not orange.

Either that or we invest in these:

Can't stand the orange seats. Were they originally that color or is that a result of fading over the years?

pretty sure they have always been that way. some on here are in denial though and say they are red

What amuses me, it is always someone NOT at the game that starts these threads. I don't mind the bashing of attendance but you need to be there to have the right to bash. I don't mind the low attendance personally. I get to sprawl my legs out on the row in front of me and also get the choice to sit anywhere I want. Yeah we may be terrible but for a Thurs night I would MUCH rather be in LNC than at home hearing my wife watch Greys Anatomy on TV.

Hats off to Thirst Buster, always seems to pull it out in the end...

For the record as you can tell from the name htown, I live in Houston. I'm not knocking the fans, I'm acknowledging the product sucks so bad no one was there and I don't blame them for that.

We have a box at Toyota center and that thing has been empty. No one wants to watch their team lose.

Your boy had a good game. That dunk really got his blood flowing. He was more aggressive after that dunk than he's been in weeks. It was good to see. I like the kid too.

The only possible way we can have any hope of having a solid season is if Cam starts turning it on and becomes at least our 3rd best player. The thing is I don't care if he shoots 1-10 every game as long as he brings the energy on a consistent basis as only good things will happen short and long term.

So yeah unleash the beast.
