WV big 12 tourney

I got my wish in the first half because of Goyia's foul trouble. Maddie played a hybrid 3-4, had a sweet 3 and at least one block and was a defensive aggressor.

I'd stick with it and try to build that 14 point lead up to about 30.

All playing well. Like what I'm seeing.

Beating them on the boards too.

I agree with you.

can't find it on my tv....anybody showing it local?

Thought we looked pretty good in the first half. Missed too many layups for my taste. Nice to see Maddie getting some time and playing with the ball in her hands.

Gabbi needs to lose the Globetrooter routine. Give it to Maddie!

Syb is home weeping like an senile, old woman right now. All because of his beloved Maddie. Maddie played great and was a real difference maker in tonight's game.

I wanted two bigs - Kay and Maddie -- and I got it for almost the entire game.

It made so many things possible and we were able to rebound like crazy.

Outstanding job by everyone. Sharane sacrificed her body for rebounds and shots like crazy. She's going to be one giant bruise tomorrow.

Everyone played just great.

Do it again tomorrow.

Syb, I look forward to reading your comments when you finally can stop your sobbing in glee.

Good win. We did some good things against a team that gets after you pretty well. We need to fall out of love with the dribble.

I'm glad that we played defense fairly well tonight. We had some difficulty on offense. It seemed like WV got lucky at the end of the shot clock a few times to stay in the game when they really didn't belong.

I'm happier with Kay Kay's ten rebounds than with her fourteen points tonight. WV does have some tall girls inside which gave us trouble in WV.

I thought there were three things that grabbed me other than Kay Kay's rebounds. Peyton, Gabbi, and Maddie kind of took over. When WV did make their runs, it seemed like the answer was Peyton with a three or Maddie suddenly driving in for jump shots. That shot is the one that I have been waiting for. That is the one that is unstoppable if she will take it.

Gabbi---zero turnovers against WV. The ability of Gabbi and Maddie to control the ball made it difficult for WV to come back. We did miss some free throws at the wrong time. But, between Gioya, Vivi, and Maddie---well, they were 11 for 11. Vivi was six for six. Glad they hit their free throws.

Think Maddie isn't tough enough? Did you see the rebound that she demanded in the middle, just ripping it out of WV's hands. That is the Maddie that I think we'll see.

Make that two of us.:ez-laugh:

Maddie played the kind of game I have been waiting for. Very sure of herself and took what the defense gave her.

Outstanding job on the boards. Loved Gabbi, Sharane, Kaylon and Maddie flying to the ball. Very good job of taking care of the ball. 4 to's in the first half and 5 in the second. I hope the kids have got their mojo back, because this kind of basketball will carry them a long way in the tourney. They are not where they want to be yet, but it was a nice glimpse of where they are heading. Still a lot of work to be done.

Quite the contrary. I'm happy for you, all of us, the team and coaches, but most of all I am happy for Maddie. No one deserves it more.

I thought she was a key to victory tonight. She clearly played the best game of her career.

I am looking forward to a repeat performance Sunday afternoon.
