Trae will sign late and decide early Jan according to his dad in a recent rivals article.
Will visit UK again, talks to slimeball cal everyday.
(My info) Dad is handling things right now. Staff is still trying but they know they've tried everything possible.

Count me in. We've been down this road before. I can't remember a time when the outcome was to our advantage.
Then again, maybe we're due to have one go our way.

You guys know me... I think we have to stick with it because we are thousands and thousands of dollars into it and still feel we may land him.
But dear lord... This crap gets old!
Oh, I know they will stay on Trae until he decides. I just hope they seriously get after the best available PG's. I know it's too late for the early signing period.
Coach, do you think they would accept a commitment from a good PG before Trae decides? What about just going with Strong and Sheperd next year?

I dont think so. I think they will wait till the very end. They sent the whole staff for the scrimmage last weekend. I think we roll with Strong and Shep until he decides then if they find someone in the late period then theyll take him.
I know for a pretty good source that we wouldn't accept commitments from 2 different 4 star PG from the early signing period. (that was also before polla committed)
You know staff will have plans, but unless they decide to go a different directon its solely Young.
At this point, we arent' getting in on the super highly rated kids. So I say we go all in on Trae Young and if he signs elsewhere, we look for somebody like Shepard or Cousins or Booker late. You can't just give up on a 5 star in your own back yard, opportunities for players like that don't come around too often.
I agree. Seems like Dad let him play along for months and when it's getting close to time to make decision, Dad seems to be taking over unfortunately. Hopefully, this is not the case.
Heck of a win if OU can bring this kid in (Trae Young). UK puts many more players in the NBA than OU, there be more NBA talent scouts at UK this year than fans showing up for OU games....Just the way it is in basketball..now football is another story.

They don't "put them" in the NBA -- 99% of those players would make the NBA from any program in a Power 5 conference.
And your comment about scouts and attendance was absurdly overstated. Why would you post such nonsense on OU board? You insult our intelligence and you misrepresent our program to any young athletes with an interest in OU who might visit this board.
