2015 Elijah Cain SG

I'll take the bait! Tell me which one is being recruited by OU and which one isn't sniffing OU?
C- Scott
D- Cain
B- shake
A- poyser?

Doesn't change the fact that OU isn't touching Scott and unrealistic father.

b is Shake. Solid numbers for sure. C. Is Scott. Also very good numbers. I guess my point was, why are we offering a kid from Canada or New Jersey when there are players right here in ok? If he was healthy, I would say Tyson jolly from PC West is probably as good as poyser or Cain. Don't know much about Scott's dad other than he coached the best 2015 AAU team in the state for about 2 or 3 years. I was at some local tournamet last summer when they beat A1 elite team, which had Shake, Trier and omega Harris starting for them. A1 got beat by double digits. Coach Talk, sounds like u have a personal grudge against the kid or the dad or something. Did your son get cut by their team or something? Maybe u are the one with a personal issue w them rather than me?

No. I'm just privy to some inside knowledge.
Lk loves oklahoma kids... If he and staff thought curan was as good as poyser or Cain... Don't you think they'd offer? Save some $$$ on travel, see their families more... Etc..

Curious, who was the other guy? Poyser?

Curran Scott, 6-3 shooting guard.

It appears that OU and Tulsa have contacted the kid, but neither have offered. I found no reference to any interest from OSU.

Ill say this, if OU misses on Poyser, Cain, and Shake. OU may take him, but there isn't an offer. OU contacts walk on players every year from Oklahoma. Ive even got a few emails from LK!!

A-Cain
D-Poyser

Just thought the comparisons were interesting given they were all against equal competition.

Regardless of who you're talking about, EYBL and AAU stats need to be taken into context when evaluating how a player will fit in your program. Yes they offer some insight on the skill level, but until EYBL starts publishing efficiency metrics like all college and NBA teams run now, those are just numbers. The only stat that really translates to the collegiate game is rebounding, which is more of a desire than actual skill.

Evaluate the player, not ppg.

Curran is a very good player and makes Memorial easily one of the favorites this year in Oklahoma. Curran is a kid that looks to score. I wonder how many shot attempts he had in comparison to the others.

That being said, curran isn't a big 12 player in my opinion because of his fit. Texas St. and Rice is about the level I would think of with him. Good scorer in HS, just not Big12 at this time.

I don't know anything about the other two, but as of right now, Shake is much more efficient and so much longer than Scott. Shake is at worst a combo 1/2 and Scott is a 6'3 2 guard all the way.

Who did Curran finish the EYBL season with this summer?

I didn't know you had any eligibility left? ;)

Thanks brett! I've said all along curan is a good player, d1 player. Just not big 12. Dad thought he wasn't getting the looks or touches (leading scorer) on his pervious team, busted the coaches balls and shopped him to Ed mem.

Another example of youth today, if things aren't great right now "were moving schools". Instead overcoming obstacles.

He finished with athletes 1st. Trier's team.

QUESTION: Has Shake stayed at the same high school, or has he also moved around?

Thanks.
