2025 NCAA Tourney Bracketology

So in your support of your wannabe drinking buddy, you cite the fact that Kelvin made four tourneys in four years while PM is (hopefully) going to eek in once in four years? And then you use pure speculation to bolster your claim?
And, by the way, I don't drink anymore, thanks.

And I was probably the biggest Kelvin Sampson supporter back in the day. Still love the guy. I'm just putting this out there to show how ridiculous you all are.

I think drinking in moderation is fine. It's basically poison for your system so I get why someone would stop drinking it.

On another note, the NA brewing company called Athletic is worth over a billion. Did not think that would be possible back in the early 2000's.

Kelvin's first four years vs. Moser's first four years

Kelvin:
23-9 - First round loss to Manhattan (Zero major conference non-con wins)
17-13 - First round loss to Temple (Zero major conference non-con wins)
19-11 - First round loss to Stanford
22-11 - First round loss to Indiana

Porter:
19-16 - First team out
15-17
20-12 - First team out
20-13 - TBD

The difference in the two is strength of conference. Period. Had Porter been coaching in the old Big 8/12, there were easily two or three more wins per year. Instead, he's been in historically good conferences.
Kelvin also was left with a decent roster with Ryan Minor, Dion Barnes, Calvin Curry James Maynard. All of our rosters under Porter have been thrown together.

So the guy who took over a team that had missed three of four tourneys had it easier than the guy who took over a program that had made four straight?

Imagine how good this team would be if we spent just a bit more to get Padilla and Garrison.
Garrison is a bum. Whatever Kentucky paid for him was too much.

What’s he actually good at other than being long and athletic? He has virtually no useful skills.

He has a rep as a good passer, but his assist numbers are pedestrian.

It's not speculation. I'm 100% sure you could use analytics to back it up.
You can't use analytics to "guarantee" that we would have won games. And you sure as hell can't do it when any close game would result in PM wetting the bed.

Look, the great thing about sports is, there is a scoreboard. And in college basketball, there is a tournament. We can all look at the results and see which coaches have gotten us there.

Bracketology Update:

CBS - 9 seed playing Uconn in Raleigh

USA Today - 10 seed playing Kansas in Lexington

On3 - 11 seed playing Michigan in Providence

The Athletic - Last four in playing Indiana

Graham Doreen - 10 seed playing Gonzaga in Cleveland

***once again will update as more predictions come in

The athletic is still in business? What an absolutely terrible rag it has become.

before NIL existed ?? lol ok

If you think we could afford a great player before this time? Lol.
