2025 NCAA Tourney Bracketology

Lunardi tends to overreact to conference tournament results compared to the committee historically imo. It makes sense since his employer needs to hype up conference tourney results for ratings purposes.

I will add that I’m not convinced Texas is in the field yet. Sec network was acting like it was a lock after A&M. I think they need another win to get to the first 4.

I have them behind because of non conference, but in the tourney.
Yeah. I find it hard to take bias out of it when I do it. So I took all of that out so I couldn't know who was who. There were some definite adjustments that would happen once some of that was put back in, but it was a bit enlightening to me.

Still hope OU could have gotten left out. Short-term pain doesn't help OU. Being mediocre with no hope for being truly good, does no good. OU won't make a change if they make the tourney, so we get another year of mediocre basketball...oh well.

This COULD be the year Moser turns the corner at OU. Not impossible. NIL will increase next year, and maybe all he needs is to get the monkey off his back tournament wise. He's put together the first back to back 20 wins seasons in a loong time. As frustrated as I've been that does count for something. Just trying to be positive here because 1) I love it when OU is in the tournament and 2) he'll be back next year and there's nothing I can do.

next year could be a return to the mean depending who he's able to pull in from the portal.
i won't feel too confident if we're starting wague at the 5....cole at the 4....and forsythe at pg.
maybe atak will be ready to go next season.
doubt rogers will get much pt next season
gotta bring in a whole bunch of talent upgrades for next year to really turn the corner.
and unless there is an infusion of nil...i don't see that as likely

Not sure why everyone is locking Texas, they’re right at the bubble and will face the question of if the committee really wants 14 SEC teams in. The committee just doesn’t place the same value on conference tournament wins as regular season ones. I’m guessing both UNC and Texas just aren’t getting in.

I see Wague similar as I do Godwin. Could be good as your 2nd best big and be solid but if he's your best post player you are gonna average at best in any major league. It looks like the recruit we got is a pretty solid post player out of HS but we need at least one post player that can really play.

We've seen guards that are pretty talented being brought in by Moser over the years. We'll see if this NCAA Tournament will bring some more money for NIL this year. We won't have a guard as good as Fears but Forsyth and Miles have shown they can at least be decent. And we've seen Moser find guards that McCollum and Sherfield that can score at a high level.

I've been lurking on Trilly's Discord. The talk there is that he's looking again. I don't blame him at all.

Minnesota and Iowa are open, but they have the same challenges with NIL. Iowa is looking at other candidates. Northwestern may open in Porter's old neighborhood.

I think it's 50-50 that Porter is still our coach in three weeks.

I'm dang proud of the guys, and pumped that it's looking like they're in. I honestly wrote em off after the LSU game. The players and coaches showed some serious guts when their back was against the wall, and when everyone had basically quit on em.

Right now ESPN has Georgia as the lowest SEC team. Their resume seems like it's the best to me.
