#21 OU vs #6 KU 3pm CST on ESPN

They are the #6 team in the country!
I am not sure if you are being sarcastic in your response, but as a resident stat-nerd and for people who hate KenPom (I don't get it), it giveth and it taketh away...KenPom rates Kansas as the #19 team in the country in Adj Efficiency metrics...so they are def inflated. Road wise, they are atrocious...unless it's LNC.

it was unwatchable, almost comically so.
First half we looked good, so you must have just watched the 2nd half. (which, was abysmal, yes)

I don’t want to overreact too much because we were missing two of our main guys but that second half was just embarrassing. We made 3 shots the entire half? (Admittedly I didn’t watch the last 1:30 so maybe we made a meaningless basket at that point). You would think that we could somehow make 3 shots in a half even if we were playing the Thunder.

On the day we honored the greatest coach in OU bball history, I can’t help but think we’ll never return to that glory. At least, it certainly feels like we will never return to that level of basketball glory. It saddens me deeply.

The program is listing… struggling and dying. What’s it gonna take to right the ship and find that level of success again?

A new AD with a vision broader than milking the paying public for every last dime.

I'm as frustrated as anyone with today's loss and the general direction of the team, but no major program dies. We hadn't been all that good for 20 years before Tubbs. MacLeod had some success as did Bliss, though he cut and ran, leaving the cupboard bare (and thank goodness he did, considering what went on under his watch at SMU and Baylor), and then Tubbs made us a hoops power. We were a lot closer to dead back then prior to Billy's arrival than we are now and all it took was the right guy, the right hire. Moser may not be the guy (I don't think he is), but the next guy could be or the guy after that. The program is not dying--that's far too permanent a term. Floundering, yes, but not dying.

Agree here. It’s not the program, it’s the coach. Moser cannot win at Oklahoma. That doesn’t make him a bad coach but just not good enough for OU. Joe C made a mistake hiring him, it happens. That doesn’t mean the program is in shambles. It just makes the next hire that much more critical.

I just want the truth. Does porter have one foot out the door or is he really committed to being here? Make the tourney and at least be competitive. Bring back some guys to play with what's coming in and I wouldn't give up on him. If he's really looking to leave then show him the door yesterday.

He’s a bad coach.

Why do a lot of you have this delusional belief that he’s some sought after coach?

The program isn't dead, but our reputation as anything beyond mediocre is. If we build back into a basketball power, which is possible, it will be completely from scratch.

We've gone almost 20 years with 3 coaches now, and outside of a few flash in the pan years with generational talents, we can hardly even muster a winning record in conference. In fact, even some generational talents like Trae were bottom dwellers in conference.

His team is the one tying him to all these Midwest catholic jobs.

Joe C hired him only because he went to a Final 4. Not a smart move.

The next hire is going to be extremely important. We have to get it right. We already have many obstacle the program has to overcome, the coach can’t be one of those obstacles. Moser is a good guy but I think he’s in over his head at OU.

We can’t just hire anyone. It takes a certain kind of coach, with a chip on their shoulder, to win at OU. They have to overcome a lot of things that most bball coaches don’t have to deal with, unfortunately.

The reality is OU has had 3 Hall of Fame caliber coaches. You kind of can’t predict that. Billy became a HOF by being on the front end of the run and gun era. kelvin is just a hell of a coach with great culture and a tough brand of basketball. Kruger brought and NBA approach where he highlighted players strengths offensively and hid their weaknesses.

Moser has no qualities he brings except spazzing out on the sidelines and stressing the team, the coaches and the fans out with his sideline demeanor, roster construction and poor substitution patterns.

I couldn't care less what he does as long as he wins.. but he doesnt

Same but I think it’s just a part of the bigger problem… how he handles the ups and downs of coaching. Just my two cents
