The old school would win this summer. They are way more physical right now. I doubt the summer changes things much.

Where is Buford?

Best of 7 series, it's 4-2 old school. One game scenario, I'll go with Woodard.

Haha I've thought of this too OP. I think the game would be interesting. Hopefully they may scrimmage like that and someone can report on it..

Regardless of the outcome of OP's scenario, think about how competitive these pick-up games will be once Strong, Doolittle, and McGusty get on campus. What a roster!

Didn't one of the practice guys report like around 4 years ago... M'Baye, Hield and those guys scrimmaged the Pledger group and whipped em? I can't remember exactly who but it seemed to be like Amath's redshirt year... It was 4 on 4 maybe? I could be misremembering but it was something like that, like the new guys would beat them and it got everyone excited... As it should have.

If ever there was a year the incumbent talent and the incoming talent would have a heck of a game it would be this year..

I forgot Buford so I gave the newbies Manek.

One thing is sure, the new guys can really shoot the rock but I'd take the more physical old guys 4-2 in a best of 7. Maybe 4-3. I know Strong, McGusty, Grandstaff, Doolittle, and Freeman are the best shooting class we've had in a while. They just need to get stronger and more experienced. All those dudes can stroke the 18 to 20ft J.

One thing I learned from refereeing 2500 HS games is that physical strength and bulk are vastly underrated attributes. It's a big advantage to have over an opponent. I think guys like McGusty are terrific players. He's 6'5" but weighs 160 lbs. A guy like Christian James can post him up all day long. Those are attributes that kept McNeace and even Lattin from being more effective last season.

That's why I gave the edge to the old school team.

By the way, Manek will still be in HS next season.

I realize Manek will be in HS next year but I had to give each team a 6th man after I remembered Buford and added him as 6th man on team 1.
