That this group wasn't able to make a Big 12 title game appearance. They've been so much fun to watch but just couldn't seem to get over that semi-final hump. Hard to judge what they do in the tournament because you never know which shooting team shows up, but would be great to get a deep run going.

Low bball iq

Much like the thinder

Really don't care all that much about the joke that is this or any other conference tournament. Much more disappointed that we couldn't win the actual Big 12 title this year. I can't even begin to articulate how much I hate KU.

Pretty irrelevant in the grand picture of CBB.

Final Four or bust for this team.

lol ok...Well if that doesn't happen, this team has accomplished nothing then. They wouldn't have made any run in any tournament or won a Big 12 title. Winning a Big 12 tournament title would've at least been SOMETHING they would've accomplished.

Winning a conference tourney means very little in the grand scheme. Little more than winning the tourney in Hawaii. Many teams would prefer the extra rest and focus their efforts on the real tourney.

This teams demise is what I was griping about during our run during the Hawai'i's! Bad decision making, laziness at times, low iq. They are a fun bunch to watch but will drive you crazy. Really, you are right, they should have accomplished more. Let's get one final run going boys. Win this sucker.:OU-logo:

The Big XII decided that they weren't interested of moving the location of the tournament around in a fair and equitable way a few years ago. It also became obvious several years ago that the outcome of the conference tournament had little or no bearing on seeding for the big dance. It would be nice to be in the finals, but a day of rest might be more valuable in the long run.

We are the poorest passing team in the top 20.
I am watching the Div 2 texas state championship and both teams are better passers than OU.
Dribbling one on one for 20 sec is not a good offense.

I've been saying that all year. Bad passing team. They don't handle double teams very well.

This team is to guard oriented. Spangler does not get the ball enough down low. The ball would run through him bc he is the best passer of all the players out there.

Let's face it; we aren't as talented as Kansas. To win a Big 12 title, you have to be more consistent than we've been down the stretch. Hard work will only take you so far. I don't think Bball IQ has that much to do with it. Self is a better coach than Kruger, and KU has better players. That part is really simple to me. We basically have no bigs at the level of the guards, and KU's guards our better (overall) than ours. OUr team did well to make it as far as they did.

I am also tired of people here saying you are "low info" or know nothing if you actually would like to see us do well in conference.

ONE TEAM wins the NC. ONE. does that mean 350 other teams had horrid seasons? No. It is a perfectly reasonable goal to try winning our own conference and it's not some "low knowledge" BS.

Things are changing. Grandstaff and McGusty are top 50 recruits. We might get Bolden, a top 25 recruit. 2017 we are in on a bunch of top 50 top 100 recruits.

Just look at aTm. They have a bunch of 4 star recruits and house is a 5 star recruit. They won the regular SEC title and is going down the wire for tourney title.

If you want to beat the big boys you have to recruit with the big boys. aTm perfect example.

#6 in the country, a 2 seed in the NCAA tourney, ranked #1 at multiple points in the season, and a viable contender in the Big 12 and nationally. Yeah, they haven't accomplished a damn thing. Lol at some of you guys...

Agreed. Some people have unbelievably short memories when it comes to remembering where we actually were prior to 3 years ago.

No doubt! Some people simply can't just enjoy the moment. No matter how good we have it being OU fans this year (getting to the final four in football and having a b-ball team ranked in the top 10) some people can still find a way to be negative about everything and feel miserable.

I want us to win every game as much as anyone but I DO NOT lose perspective on things and I feel so fortunate to just be in the FF conversation. Ask OSU how much they would love to just make the dang tourney, no matter being a #2 seed. If we were all honest with ourselves, we should all realize that this team is very good but has it's weaknesses. We are a jump shooting team and when we are playing loose, playing good defense and the shots are falling...we have proven we can play and beat anyone. We played in the best conference in the country this year. We played everyone twice. You can get exposed when you play top 20 teams night after night who are all so familiar with you.

The good news is...the 2nd season is about to start. We likely won't be playing against teams that are very familiar with us. And as much as certain teams can be a difficult match-up for us...we will also be a very difficult match-up for anyone we play. We also have the best player in the country to lean on. We also just proved that we can play a top 10 team to the wire with our best player only scoring 6 points. I guess it all depends on how you choose to look at things. You can be a pessimistic debbie downer and choose to believe that we have no chance to make it past the sweet 16 with our poor production from the post and our inability to make lay-ups. :-)

I just choose to be positive. We have 4 starters who have started 100 games together. We have the best player in the country who will be on a mission. In the end, none of us can control the outcome...so it doesn't do any good to be negative!!! I just love the fact that we are relevant again and good enough to make a run in the best sporting event on the world. I grew up in the Tubbs era when we were ranked in the top 10 practically every year. The last few years of Capel were very hard for me to take. But having gone through them...I sure in the hell am not going to take anything for granted!!!
