Even if it had not worked, Kruger made the right call.
With Pledger and Fitz in foul trouble on the road, no way LK wanted to see the game go into overtime. The odds of OU winning in that environment with the way the second half was being officiated was slim and none, and slim would have been out the door as soon as the final buzzer sounded.
To me it was a no brainer. With the foul trouble we were in OT was a lost cause and the guy they fouled shoots <%50 so not a bad option. In addition we were gassed I think and better to give two free throws than a bucket and a foul.
