There's obviously a ways to go until this is determined, but seeing a lot of bowl projections that have OU in the Alamo Bowl. Have family in San Antonio and always said I'd go to that bowl if OU was in it but...

That game is going to be played on Saturday, Jan. 2. What's also scheduled on that day is the OU-Iowa State game in Norman. To add insult to injury, the hoops game starts at 6 and Alamo Bowl at 6:45.

I think we know what the fan turnout at the LNC would be if that happened. Would be really disappointing for such a big game.

Yes, I have no life and waste my time looking at these things. :D

They'd move the ISU game at lease time wise. Id bet

i hope you are correct .... but that is much harder to do with conf games because they are all on national tv (espn family of networks)

Thats very true. Id think theyd try something... Id choose HOOPS!

I'm still a football fan, but hoops will be my choice too. The basketball game will mean a lot more as far as standings. I will DVR the football game, and watch it later.

I hear ya. That would suck. But there's also a lottttttt of football left to be played!

I would easily choose football.

There are 30 plus bball games a year. I would record the bball game and watch football live

Probably what I'd do.

That, or just catch what I could of the bball game. Hopefully halftimes wouldn't overlap, and I'd be able to watch bball during halftime of the football game.

Can they do that? If it is on different networks, I am not sure that would happen. It is ridiculous that the Big XII schedules OU v ISU on January 2. Big games like that should be pushed back until classes resume.

I'd probably watch one on the TV and one on my computer.

If we were in the Alamo Bowl, how many losses would we have -- 2? 3? If the latter, I might focus on hoops and watch the bowl game via DVR later -- if we won.

I don't think OU is going to lose any more football games this year and if they do, I think it will only be 1. I think OU is a lot better than TCU and that game is in Norman.

OU isn't going to beat Baylor this year. That isn't happening. So a minimum of 1 more loss. That is best case. Hoping maybe one other one would be worse case. I don't like that we play TCU the week after Baylor.

Many thousands of folks were saying, less than two weeks ago, "Texas isn't going to beat OU this year. That isn't happening..."

I wouldn't bet the rent on OU beating Baylor this year, but it's hardly outside the realm of possibility.

What has Baylor done this year to convince you they are really good? I understand that Baylor has beaten Lamar, Rice and SMU but so has everyone else that played those schools. I will let the season play out before I crown a champion.

Because I'm smart enough and watch enough football to know what I'm watching. Sure, everybody beats those teams, but not everybody does it in the manner that Baylor did it. The fewest points they've scored in a game this season are 56. They've routinely taken out their 1st team offense early.

I don't care if you believe it or not, but they are significantly better than OU this season. That doesn't always guarantee a win, but I certainly don't count on OU winning that game. And I say that as somebody that has watched every minute of OU football this year, and quite a bit of Baylor. This is why OU fans get butt hurt so much when the football team loses a game. Ridiculous expectations.

Lets actually let them play some teams that play defense.

I agree Baylor is a good team, I just don't think they are all that special other than they have beaten OU twice in a row. If their Big XII losses the last two seasons were to OU rather than WVU and OSU, OU fans would not freak out over them so much.

We shall soon enough because the game is not far off.

A meaningful basketball game vs a meaningless football game? No question how I'd spend my time. But I'll bet attendance at the LNC won't be great.
