Is there anything the pro-Capel and the anti-Capel crowds agree on?

This is getting ridiculous. Mods can we create a pro-Capel board and an anti-Capel board?

This situation sucks. Both sides would agree with that.

I can agree that I'm not on a "side."

It is extremely reasonable and logical to want to try and find a new coach.

It's scary to imagine what the offseason will be like if he's retained...

I think a lot of us can agree that there really isn't a helluva lot more to be expressed about it. I'm not on record as to where I stand, but seriously, can't we just sticky a Capel thread and then leave the rest of the board to discuss other subjects?

You mean like the weather?

Shooter, how did the guys look in person? Dejected?

What we all need to agree on is whatever happens, happens.

I'm going to support Joe C's decision and support whoever is our Coach next year.

I think it would be a lot like a couple of years ago when Sunny Golloway was retained when so many people were calling for his job. The real question is can Capel rebound as successfully as did Golloway.

Until the situation is resolved one way or another what else is there to discuss at this point? We'll have tournament stuff going on the next few weeks. Even if Jeff isn't fired, then the discussion is about the staff changes and player changes that Jeff will have to make or we will be talking about how he'll be fired this time next year. And it'll be about 80-20 or more in agreement about him being fired by that time.

Same poo, different day on here. Regurgitatoin over and over again.

Ya, that's a good analogy.

I don't get why people make that comparison. Galloway was only on the job about 2 or 3 years at that time. Now granted the nature of baseball is a large turnover even more so that with College Basketball. And every full year he's been coach they've been 10 games over .500. That's hard to compare to a coach that's been 5 games under .500 for the last 2 years.

He missed the NCAA once and miraculously got in the next season, things weren't looking good. It's a fair comparison.

Before the game, they looked fine. I talked to Cade about an hour before the game and he was upbeat. I didn't get to talk to him or see the players after the game. I didn't even have time to walk the 30 yards to watch to the post-game presser, as I was transmitting and getting ready for the final game.

It wasn't supposed to be an argument thread, lol.
