Ahmed not on the bench?

Doesnt surprise me at all if it was the reason he left...there might be more to the story, but i think when he came and saw what he was up against it made it easier to just go home...

Why did we recruit him if he would have no chance of playing?

I remember last spring I said I hoped we didn't sign a stiff just to sign a stiff. Save the scholly and use it on somebody who can help instead of somebody who's going to ride the pine.

JMO.

Because Osby wasn't here and Goff wasn't coming in? Either way, I think that it is a stretch to say he was a "stiff" at that point; maybe he really was homesick and decided to go home. Not the first or the last kid to get to that point. From what I saw, with a few years of S&C and work, he might have been a nice player. Certainly doesn't sound like the staff "ran him off" becuase he wasn't any good...we have other guys on the roster who have been allowed to stay under such circumstances.

He was used to London (one of the worlds major cities) and probably was a little surprised by Norman, OK. It is a serious case of culture shock, and its not surprising at all.

Nothing more to it than that.

This, Plus the Cararias Basketball Academy is located in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, which is the largest city in the Canary Islands and right on the beach.

He went from that to Norman and prolly didn't adjust well to life in the middle of Oklahoma
