Too many to ignore. An alarming and continuing trend that started last season.

I have to agree with you. It is rather alarming that for two years, we have a habit of only playing well in one half of the game. Last year, I ignored it because we had no bench and seemed to get tired, but this year, blowing the huge second half leads against Texas, OSU, and ISU were inexcusable, as well as the pathetic first half against TCU. I still believe in Kruger, but this trend is rather alarming.

You might call the lead at Texas 'huge', but we never had a huge lead against OSU or ISU today.

We really needed to Pledger to step up and hit a shot late in the game today, and it never happened.

We still blew double digit leads. Being up 12 with seven minutes should be a safe lead, even if you feel it is not a "huge" lead.

There's never an excuse for blowing a double digit lead with under 10 to play, any other comments on the why's is just fluff. Shouldn't happen yet it continues to happen repeatedly to us.

It would certainly be preferable if OU played poorly in both halves, had players calling the shots and generally had no focus or direction like it was under Capel. I vote we go back. Instead of briingin in Hornbeak, Hield, Cousins and Woodard, we can recruit Harrison Barnes and end up with Ray Willis.

A 10 or 12 point lead is only big if you get down to 2 or 3 minutes to go. It can be cut to 6 or 3 in not time at all.

Actually we ended up with Nick Thompson the year Barnes was recruited. But i get your point and agree.

I agree with this but it does disturb me that OU lost to ISU, Texas and OSU. However, I think fans need to look at the positives. Prior to Kruger coming the guys just didn't know how to compete against good teams much less win. Now they win more than they lose and compete in almost every single game with the exceptions being Gonzaga and at ISU.

I think in a year or two our guards will know how to win these games and will win these games.

I agree. It's a hard lesson to learn, unfortunately but it's a good lesson for the young guys to learn.

gosh dang senior

I could be mistaken, but I don't think he put up a single stat in the 2nd half. Aside from a shot attempt. I tried to look back and see but couldn't pull the play by play up.

Why is it a good lesson to learn when we had a chance at a 9 seed or higher?

If you expect players who haven't been out of high school a full year to play like veterans, you will be disappointed more often than not.

I don't expect them to play like veterans...Kruger can play his veterans though. He can have a lineup of nothing but juniors and seniors on the floor.

We're going to the dance, boys, no matter what some are saying. Maybe a couple of weeks from now we'll all be singing CLK's praises.

There is absolutely no evidence of Capel coaching a team with this much talent and experience falling flat on their face on a regular basis as they have under Kruger. As for all the people saying anybody could have coached Blake to the Elite 8, Blake himself would rightly call you a bunch of know nothing dopes.

Mid season I was singing Krugers praises. But let's face it, this team crumbled and they have too much talent/experience to wilt the way they did. It falls on the shoulders of the guy making over $2mil per year. He failed.
