Except he was removed shortly after the trip to the Bahamas. I am not sure exactly when he was fired or suspended but OU beat Missouri, Tulsa, ORU, Weber State, George Mason, Baylor and Texas after the Bahamas trip before losing to KSU at home. (OU did lose to Washington during that stretch). If I recall correctly people first asked about it after the Tulsa game.
 
Does anyone expect a punishment on the program, for his actions? I'm glad that it is not bigger news. When I heard about it, I figured it would be all over the news and be a bigger deal.
 
I think OU caught it so quickly, dismissed the coach, made the players return the money and parted way with the booster so the NCAA is not going to do much if anything. Honestly, OU did exactly what the NCAA wants programs to do. Police themselves and take action when a rule is violated.

This is an opportunity for the NCAA to show mercy for a team who is spending a lot of time and money self-policing.

If they throw the book at us again then that will be a bad look for the NCAA. May as well sweep everything under the rug at that point.
