that Dwight Howard is a superb center?

He's a chump. period. SO overrated. His lack of production in LA wasn't only a matter of the offense - he's just not that good.

Which brings the question of who is a good center in the league anymore? There's lots of good forwards. Is DeMarcus Cousins really the best center in the game?

Howard acted like a little puss last night. He could have challended KD at the rim at least twice and just stood there

I really wonder what Hakeem Olajuwon is teaching Dwight in these off-season training sessions. Either Hakeem is a terrible teacher, or Dwight is a horrible student...

As always, I think people are way to hard on Dwight simply b/c they expect so much. Why would a team not want a center that shoot 58%, 18 ppg, and 13 rpg?

Again, no one wants to give Perkins any credit. He can make a few opposing centers look bad.

As far as true centers, America hasn't been making them in awhile. But Pecovic, Marc Gasol, and Bogut are about it. Unless you count the Lopez brothers.

Kevin McHale says Noah, not Howard, is the NBA's Defensive Player of The Year this season. That's Howard's own coach saying that.

Yeah but look how absolutely worthless he was on offense vs the thunder. If his shot is challenged instead of an uncontested dunk he can look like a high schooler. He doesn't have anything in the same galaxy as Shaq had at exploding around, over or through people. He plays soft.

People would definitely take Noah over him and the list is growing of people who prefer DeAndre Jordan.

He couldn't score in the last game against The Thunder, and he wasn't going up against Kendrick Perkins, either...

The Thunder guy who does the radio play by play, Matt Pinto or something like that, was on the radio the other day talking about D12. He said he was shocked that right before the Thunder game, the Houston coaches were trying to get their guys ready to play. Everyone was shooting, stretching, doing drills, etc and there was Howard at the other end of the gym, joking & playing around with reporters, and shooting the ball off the side of the backboard.

He said Howard shot a few 3's, and that was the extent of his pre -game routine. Pinto said he could see a guy like Kobe going crazy over something like that, right before a huge game. That describes D12 to a tee. He doesn't love basketball, he plays because he knows he can make a huge amount of money. Shaq had some of that with him as well, but he was years ahead of D12 in talent. No telling how good Shaq could have been if he was as driven as Kobe.

Howard isn't a great basketball player, he is a great athlete who plays basketball. Pinto talked about him with a large amount of disdain for the way Howard makes a mockery of the game.
