BBJ is convinced OU bball will get hammered by the NCAA.


Pat Jones said Missouri is a better job than OU, and was ready to debate whether K-State or OU was the better job before Rodgers put him in his place about Missouri.


Traber said only three players on the current roster are worthy of playing D-1.


BBJ said no player other than Clark has any talent.

That is just ridiculous to say. Fitzgerald was a top 100 recruit and is averaging 14 a game as a sophomore. Pledger was also a top 100 recruit that is averaging double figures as a sophomore.

This team needs more talent but there is not a complete lack of talent.

In fairness to BBJ, I will acknowledge he does know a thing or two about not having any talent, in fact he personally has no talent.

There isn't a lot to be excited about for next season unless you compare it to this season and/or OU signs another a g that is quick, a great defender and can shoot.

Pat Jones obviously has no clue about basketball, arguing that Mizzou and K-State are better basketball programs. No one else agreed with him. All agreed OU has been much better than those teams for the past 25 years and they have better facilities.

The only way you could say Mizzou is a better job is recruiting base with KC and St. Louis a few hours each direction, but I still think it's a huge stretch. Mizzou also has better fan support than OU, and Mizzou has never been a football school, though they are trying to become one.

I would also say the Mizzou Arena is a lot nicer than LNC, but they don't have the practice facilities that OU has even though they have 2 courts for practice purposes (Hearnes Center and Mizzou Arena).

I bet last season they would have said that Fitz and Pledger weren't any good and didn't deserve to be here.

BBJ is a moron. How can the 4th leading scorer on our team be the only guy on the roster that deserves to be here?

I have a friend who is a die hard Kentucky fan. He does this every year...but I'll use this one as an example...He kept going on and on about how Miller and Liggins were horrible players when they were freshmen. I kept telling him that they were only freshmen...give them some time. Players get better. Their not great players by any means but they are solid players.

We are looking at a young OU team...Our starting five consist of 3 SOs, 1 SR, and 1 FR. Too listen to guys like BBJ and Traber who state that we only have 1 or 3 d1 players on our roster is ridiculous. They are young but they will improve. We have guys on our roster who have bright futures...just b/c they aren't kicking butt as freshmen doesn't mean they won't as JRs.

If you just look at the 3 guys(Pledger, Fitzgerald, and Davis) that have been on our roster for more than a year and see the progression they have made is a perfect example of why not too listen to those guys on the Animal.

I am not saying some of those other guys arent good enough to fill out our roster...

but these 3 are the only ones i feel could play on a championship caliber team...with both Fitz and Pledger being role players and Clark developing into a star...gonna need a lot of work around them to fill out the roster if they want to compete for the Big 12
