I think OU has a very realistic shot at that. They have to take care of business at home and win a couple more road games but I think it is possible. Monday is a big game. I sure hope OU wins.

Quick answer: yes. Our team is in a little rut (and still pulling out road wins)...when they get back in their flow like I think they will, we can win 13 or more.

If we beat OSU at home Monday, I think we can get to 12 wins. To get to 13, we need to win one more tough road game @KU, @OSU, @ISU or @WVU.

I'm thinking 11. Would love to be more optimistic but this conference is tough. Would also love to be wrong in your favor.

I think it is quite probable. I also think they will finish second in the league. They already have more quality road wins than anyone in the conference. Well maybe it is a tossup between them and KU.

If you would have told me that they may well finish second in the league, I would have asked if you had been taking your meds.

If we continue to play at this level, we won't finish any lower than 4th. We finish with 6 winnable games and @KU in the middle.

I picked 12 and I will stick to that but I hope we can get to 13

I think it will be very tight between OSU, OU and KSU for second in the conference. ISU and Texas might have something to say about it.

KSU already has wins over both OU and OSU. That is a big for them

I thought we would get to 11, but I was not counting wins at Texas and Baylor, The only road wins i had for us was TCU, TT and WVU. So can we yes, will we i dont think so. 11/12 is more realistic.

I agree with this. @KU and @osu will be extremely difficult. The game that I really think we have a shot at is next Saturday at ISU. They are out of sorts right now. They almost gave their game away to KSU today. If they remain in their semi-funk, we have a very realistic shot of winning up there, but we would have to play very well/consistent. I wouldn't have thought that 3 weeks ago.

That is the piece of the puzzle that is tough to estimate. There are a lot of teams that OU can beat or lose to, just depending on whether you catch them hot or cold, or whether OU is hot or cold. Baylor, if they ever figure things out, can beat just about anybody in the league. But they are playing terrible basketball right now.

I'm going with 12 but I predict we split @OState and @IState.

It's certainly possible to win all 6 of the home games. It's probably possible to teams on the road, too, most notably, at WV and TCU. However, we could pull another one off. That all said, I'm NOT going to be unhappy with 6 more wins (11-7), 22 wins b/f the Big 12 tournament. One or two wins there, with only 6 more wins and we have a good record going into the NCAAs. Love to see at least 7 wins b/f Big 12 tournament, and one or two in that tournament.

We seem to play to the level of the competition and until we break that cycle and play to our level every game I think 13 will be a tough duty. I'm afraid we still have 1 more home loss, probably KSU (their defense) but I also think we have 2 more road wins (WVU and TCU). We will probably lose 1 more none of us expects us to lose. Hope I'm wrong.

Somebody counting chickens that aint hatched? Sure would be nice to get a top 5 seed in the dance but I'll be happy with 10 /8 conference and that seems almost easy at this point, now you got me counting.

Agree that game Monday is a key indicator. To get to 13 we probably have to go 6-0 at home and 2-3 on the road.

We could still lose 1-2 more home games - we don't have a big advantage at home and seems like a lot of teams are playing well on the road this year. Before conference season started I was hoping for 10 wins but am now hoping for 11.

13 conference wins and Lon Kruger will be in the discussion for National Coach of the Year. Let's assume for argument's sake that we'll win these 4 --> TTech, Texas, WVU and @TCU. We should be at least a touchdown favorite in all four of those games. That gets us to 9 wins.

No hiccups above would mean we need to win 4 of these --> OSU, BU, KSU, @WVU, @KU, @OSU, @ISU. For this to happen, we likely need to win those three home games. All will be tough. Baylor may seem like a win at this point, but like WTSooner pointed out, they can beat anyone if they get hot. We have a great shot at beating WVU in their house. I just don't see us winning in Ames, Lawrence or Stillwater. At the moment, though, we can go 13-5 without winning any of those three...but we would have to run the table with all the other games.

I still see us going 12-6, and that's only if we beat OSU Monday night. Otherwise, I'm dropping my prediction to 11-7.

This is exactly how I feel. OSU win gets us to 12-6. OSU win + WVU win gets us to 13-5 and tie for 2nd or 3rd in the league. Probably 2nd.

I think Kansas will only lose 1 or 2 games tops.

Why can't we beat OSU in Stillwater?
We shoulda beaten them there last year. Without Cobbins, I think we match up pretty dang well with them.

No, I really don't. Hopefully, Woodard is back on track but our lack of front court depth is a real concern. We have to keep Spangler on the court. I have so much respect for him as a undersized warrior on the inside, but he's our only inside player. Playing with a 4-guard lineup and relying on the 3 ball is a big gamble. I really do like our guards though, and the defense is picking up.

So far KU is the only team to exploit our front court issues but Spangler was in early foul trouble.

I expect 11 wins with an outside chance at 12. I also think 10 is just as likely as 12. It's just my honest opinion.
