I like the look of that roster, but still feel we are 1 big, strong guy short of being able to compete for a top 5 spot in the big 12. We'll be a bubble/NIT team at best unless we really gel early on.

Unless we have a transfer or something like that we will have an experienced group for the next campaign...

And Capel can focus on some height with the next recruiting class...

Good thing the old 5-8 rule is no longer in effect.

We desperately need a big. 6'9 on paper is not enough...especially since none of them have the meat to move people around.

So any early bets on whether this group of cast offs and rejects can out perform 3 Mc D All American's and a 4 year starter?

The bar is 13 wins from last year.

I like the over, alot.

The next two years will be really important recruiting classes for us. Next yeat we will probably have only 2 scholarships at most so we must get the best players then the year after that we will lose almost 1/3 of the team, the next year too.

That almost sounds like you're lumping in Crocker with those McAA's as part of the problem.

I like how this team is coming together. Capel has done a very nice job over the last couple of weeks. I could see this team getting 20 wins now.

I assume the reference to this class as castoffs abd rejects is tongue-in- cheek? After all TJ and Cam are Top 100 talents as apparently so is Newell and Neal is Gatorade Oklahoma POY.I too think I'll take the over on this team vs. the Burger Boys.

I think Capel will lighten this years slate and make it developmentally friendly.By that I mean 7 of last years 14 noncon games were away from Norman,I think this year will be MUCH heavier on home dates, especially IF we can dump the Maui tourney.I'm thinking flipping the record from 13-18 to 18-13 is a reasonable hope.

Given the situation Capel was recruiting in(mass departures,NCAA investigation, AND the first losing season in several years) I think he has done a remarkable recruiting job this spring.
