Funny thing, Austin was named Guard of the Year but was only a second team selection in the league. Those Lebanese have have a great sense of humor.

Quannas White? i'd just like to have an AJ level PG on our team after the last couple of seasons...

great for him. he's likely making idk, $50k per yer at minimum and gets to experience different cultures around the world. not a bad gig.

Cosmic, you could double the $50k and add a signing bonus. Also add a mercedes to drive, apartment and utilities free and a couple of free flights home and back. These things are what enticed him to leave Switzerland and the European countries because of the economic conditions to Asia and its oil.

Great job, AJ!!! :clap

Austin Johnson is and always will be one of my favorite Sooners! He has done well for himself oveseas, and no one deserves it more. God knows he had a horrible run of bad luck with injuries and health problems while he was at OU.

Thans for posting, TXSooner. Hope you and your family are well.

I think AJ was incredibly underrated and was the recipient of a lot of undeserved criticism during his time at OU. His long arms wreaked havoc on defense and he could really score when healthy.

AdaSooner, Guess the biggest accomplishment in the league was that he ended up 3rd in scoring with a 23.2 scoring average, 3rd in assists 6.3, and 2nd in steals at 2.7 a game. So being in the top 3 in the league out of the 5 catagories was really outstanding. He is back in Amarillo for the summer and is doing great.
