Battle 4 Atlantis Champs!

We've seen too many great nonconference starts unravel in conference play for me to get overly excited yet. Not just in the Moser era, but also the non-Buddy Kruger years.

But you can't deny how much these three wins will help. I agree the committee won't care that we won the championship, but I suspect it will be two Quad 1 wins on a neutral court. A 12-1 or 11-2 nonconference record with a couple quad 1 wins, which is what I predict, makes conference play very manageable. With the influx of NIL, I suspect that the SEC will overtake or at least draw relatively even with the Big 12 in the near future, but hopefully conference play isn't as brutal for the time being.

Still missing Jadon Jones! I’m not expecting jeff N. But if it happens who doesn’t play?
Well the obvious answer is Forsythe should never see the court if we add a quality player. We wouldn’t have to stick him out there even if we have foul trouble. But these things always work themselves out. Guys get hurt, players tail off as the competition gets better, etc. I mean, three days ago, Wague was our backup center and he barely saw the court in The Bahamas.

We need to really hope that’s the case. Iowa, USC and Arkansas were all supposed to be Q-1 wins last year. Those three teams pooping the bed did OU no favors. I do think Arizona will end up being a Q-1 win, but not sure about Louisville or Providence.

Providence seems very unlikely. We likely just have to hope that remains a Q-2. Louisville plays an incredibly tough noncon schedule. Already played Tennessee, and have two or three ranked opponents coming up in their next five games. If they could win one of those and/or have a good conference season, they will have a chance to stay in Q-1. Arizona needs to get their act together. They aren’t nearly as good as the past couple years, but hopefully they find their stride and can stay in the top 50 for us.

From what I watched, which is admittedly little, Louisville looked better than UA in this tournament.

Goodine. Taylor has proven to be tough & plays defense. By conference you’ll have an 8 man rotation. Center is only one I can’t figure out as to who will backup Godwin.
Guards: Fears, Elvis, Miles
Wings/forwards: Moore, Taylor, Jones
Bigs: Godwin, Norweather/Wague

Just watched the game. Played really well except rebounding. Team is tough defensively

I am so proud of the team for how hard they played and fought...loved to see that emotion when accepting the well-deserved trophy. My immediate worry at this point is a Georgia Tech hangover. Because of those Q4 schools we played, it doesn't give us much of a margin for error against schools we are favored to beat. I hope the fans show up and provide a nice boost.

And we have been prone to letdowns the last couple years. The OSU game immediately following the Bama win is the most dramatic example. Coming off the high of winning this tournament, and playing a team that is off to a bad start, combined with what it probably going to be a small crowd, makes me nervous. Would love to see us handle business and play well.

Another clown post. You said the same thing about Austin Reeves too. He’s in the NBA now if you missed that. Don’t be a clown all the time and you won’t get called out for it. Obviously you’re not a fan of OU dude. Go Jayhawks. Right??

Now THIS is a complete clown post. So much hostility for no reason. Forsythe is not ready to play at this level yet and he will most likely not see the floor when Jones returns. Comparing upperclassmen Reeves to freshman Forsyth is not fair. Anyone with half a brain can see that.

I said Reaves was an nba player pretty much from his first day on campus, but you wouldn’t know that since the hooked on phonics hadn’t quite kicked in. Also, it’s funny you are just willing to blatantly lie and pretend you know what anyone said about Reaves, seeing as how you joined the board three years after his college career ended.
