I think Texas can give Baylor a run for their money if they use the same gameplan they used against us.

I think if Texas was healthy all year, they could have ran the table in the big 12, they have a lot of talented players, just didn't have them all at the same time.

I don't think it would have been much different. Texas isn't as good as some thought. Neither was OU. It was simply a matter of which team showed up. In conference play, OU showed up more than Texas did. Baylor showed up most of all. No one team was that dominant.

I have no idea who will win. I have more faith in the Baylor player's determination than in that of Texas.

Styles make fights. We couldn't gain an inside presence against Texas, KK struggled against there length. And there gaurds did a nice job of stopping Maddie and Gioya for two halves- turning us into a jump shooting team. I don't think they can stop Baylor from getting there. Niya Johnson and Nina Davis will have big games. I don't think it'll be blow out but I got Baylor.

Two of the three officials are the ones who called our game in Norman against Baylor. I expect they will call a good game and not put up with much foolishness from KM.

Once they clean up the fouls on those driving into the lane, the game really gets more fun to watch.

Anyone notice KM is staying on the sideline - at least so far?

Don't worry Kim will be up in about 20 mins when we sweep this tourney....AGAIN!! Sic'em!!

Texas would be leading if they hadn't missed so many chip shots.

Looks like Baylor has this one in the bag now. A team needs to be playing their best at this time of the year. Baylor is getting it together at the right time.

Texas certainly has not played defense with the same intensity as last night!

We did, once. Sadly, Norm and a few others drank the burnt-orange Kool-Aid in the last week. Now it's been flushed out.

I think Texas believed they could beat Baylor. They only lost by 2 at home and had several missed FT's which has been their motto lately! LOL The key is will anyone believe they can beat Baylor when Alexis Jones (Duke) transfers???? That is the question. I felt this coming as Duke is not Alexis' "style". (Like the Brooklyn Pope era). Baylor will be a good fit for her. Actually, the question would be.......how will Nina Davis take "sharing the spotlight" when Alexis comes? I'll be curious to see how this pans out. It will either be the making of a perfect combo......OR oil and vinegar. We shall soon find out!

It almost seems to me that Baylor used Texas' template that they used to beat the Sooners, and put it right back at them. Texas was good at dishing it, but apparently wasn't ready to have it dished to them.

Skeletor mad again!

Baylor’s Kim Mulkey upset with Texas’ Karen Aston for strategy at end of Big 12 title game

Kim Mulkey led the Baylor women’s basketball team to its fifth-straight Big 12 tournament title Monday night, but she couldn’t celebrate until getting something off her chest.

The Bears were cruising to a convincing win over Texas, up 75-55 with 55 seconds remaining, when Mulkey called timeout.

The 15-year Baylor coach subbed in an entire new group from the bench to close things out, but the Longhorns, led by coach Karen Aston, weren’t ready to roll over and die.

Texas ran out of time at the end, but a 9-0 run to close the game against Baylor’s reserves closed the gap to 11 for a 75-64 final.

In a post-game interview on Fox Sports 1, Mulkey took exception to the Longhorns’ continued attack with the game, in her mind, clearly over.

“I hate the way it ended,” Mulkey said. “But the way I look at it, I learned from the best in the business — [former Tennessee coach] Pat Summitt and [former Louisiana Tech coach] Leon Barmore.

“When you’re up 20-plus and you clear your bench, basically you’re trying to tell the opponent ‘OK, the game’s over.’ But she continued to press and made it look like it was a closer game than it was.

“I hate it ended like that,” Mulkey said.

Last night Baylor made shots they normally don't make. Add a great defensive effort and they pulled away easily in the second half.

Similar to Sunday when Texas made shots (50% from the 3) they don't usually make. While we missed shots we usually make.

Those things end up determining game outcomes.

Tycat, KM is truly out of control. And NOT coach of the year material. But I did enjoy that official keeping her on the sidelines and not getting the slightest bit intimidated. KM clearly hated that .

Baylor is now the stranded of the big 12... Last 5 Big12 POY, Last 5 regular season/Big 12 tourney champs... Davis could repeat as POY for the next two seasons and then.. It could be Brown after that...

People can say what they want but Kim is getting it done.. IDK if it's a us vs the world as people have said her, but her team will run threw a wall for her if need be and that's one of the reasons for her success.
