Unabashed fan of the O-state jerseys tonight. High school me was so jealous of their Nike connections back then. They had some of the sweetest unis in the league. This was before their curious decision to embrace the whole "brightest orange" nonsense.

That contract Billy signed with Converse seemed to go on forever. That's how we got stuck with those awful tire-tread unis in 1996. Woof.

My observation that he had "looked good so far," and that "you gotta give the kid credit, he plays hard" came at the under eight minute mark in the first half.

It doesn't bother me to give a kid from another school some props when I think he deserves it. What bothers me is to see a grown man continue to bash an Oklahoma kid who is nothing more than an innocent bystander to the remark that set you off.

Fouls are the big problem with him at this point. If you can't rely on a guy to be able to stay on the court, then he isn't worth much to you. Pretty typical for Freshmen to foul this much, but he should be at a point, now in his 2nd year now, where he would be figuring out how to avoid it.


Last year, he racked up .2018 fouls per minute.
This year, its .1965, a decrease of only 2.6%

That is almost a statistically insignificant rate of improvement, in a year where you should be making you biggest jump in that area.

I am making fun of the some comments and not making fun of Solomon. If you go back and read what I have said, you will actually see where I made this clear and stated that Mitchell Solomon was a good basketball player. There is not a kid playing in the Big XII that is not very talented.
