McDonald’s AA game

Plenty of posts have pointed specifically, and in some cases, exclusively, to his high school recruits as the reason to be optimistic that Moser can succeed if given more time. So it’s absolutely fair to point out that while our class may be good, it’s not likely to help us make up much ground.

HS recruits being a reason for optimism is not saying they'll be major contributors immediately. It's saying they will likely contribute eventually.

Go back and read the threads and look at all the posts projecting Cooper, in particular, as not just a contributor, but a starter.

Cooper would have been a mcd’s AA if he was eligible for it. Athletically, he takes a backseat to no one in the country.

How can you say that? I believe there are 24 players on the McAA roster.

247 - 57 (49 composite)
Rivals - 49
ESPN - 54

So literally not one site has him inside the top 49, yet you think he is one of the top 24 players in the country without a doubt? That's that stuff that some of you do with our players that I've been talking about. He's a good prospect. Leave it at that. He's not elite. He wasn't really borderline McAA's. He just isn't. Not being eligible for McAA didn't impact his recruiting ranking. And while is recruiting ranking isn't the determining factor for McAA selection, looking at this year's roster, the lowest ranked on ESPN that made McAA was 30, with only 5 of the 24 being outside the top 20 (so 21-30).

For some reason I thought the rosters were larger. You are correct, it isn’t likely he would have been a part of the roster since it is only 24.

He still is a premier athlete in the country.

Collier was very impressive. Guy will be able to take over games at the college level. Very surprised if he is in college more than one year.

projects #5 in next years draft already per ESPN

I'm aware of this, and expect him to either start or be one of the first off the bench. That's not to say he'll be dominant from day 1 or single-handedly win us conference games next year. Jacob Groves started 22 games this year, so you don't have to be all-world to get minutes on this roster. HS recruits don't typically make their biggest impact as freshmen.

What was the recruiting story on Brandon Garrison from Del City? Did he even visit OU?

No chance he was going to OU.
