Bedlam postponed

Isnt some games better than none...

I don't know. The quality of the games are poor. Lots of teams are playing short-handed, us included. Players are transferring right and left. I am leaning towards just shut it down and regroup for next year.

the NCAA can't/won't survive with out march madness this year ..

Disagree but no harm. Quality is just fine, know that they are playing some young inexperienced kids.

Been pretty smooth all things considering.

The contract tracing rules are probably a little TOO strict, but it’s a CYA world, so I get it. That said, power through. There needs to be a Tournament for the sake of everyone— players, schools, coaches, staff, fans, etc.... Obviously how the field is reached this year will be different, but I bet the teams wind up being slotted about where they would have even if things were normal— we will have seen enough by then to have a good idea.

Of all our games, this is the easiest one to reschedule due to the lack of travel needed for both teams. It would probably mean a three-game week of course, but that’s fine. It’s also not going to be end of world if some teams play 18 B12 games and some play 16 or 17. It will be fine.

It may not even require a three-game week since there is an open week before the conference tourney to allow for makeup games. Just depends how many games need to be rescheduled, obviously.

The NCAA will survive no matter what. It's like a cockroach that will be here after the nuclear holocaust.

Forgot about that, thanks—- yep, even easier.

It seems like the Mountain West planned this a lot better.

Using Boise State as an example, check out the format.

December 21st - New Mexico in Boise
December 23rd - New Mexico in Boise
December 31st - San Jose State in Phoenix
January 2nd - San Jose State in Phoenix
January 6th - Air Force in Boise
January 8th - Air Force in Boise
January 11th - Wyoming in Laramie
January 13th - Wyoming in Laramie
January 20th - Fresno State in Boise
January 22nd - Fresno State in Boise
January 27th - Colorado State in Fort Collins
January 29th - Colorado State in Fort Collins

Etc.....

They go to a city, stay there for a few days, play two games, and leave.

Boise has not had a conference game postponed. They've already played 8 league games without issue.

For the players it is. For fairness in declaring tournament eligibility and an eventual champion it makes it very iffy. Some teams might just lose players for a few games while other teams might delay because all of their walk-ons get sick.

Do you know how this is going to be handled in the tournament? Do you still get to postpone and how long?

I know I am an old-fashioned heartless individual but I like the old way of forfeiting if you can’t field a team.

The contract tracing is ridiculous. Poor Jalen Hill has missed 2games and never been sick.
The aggies had a big celebration party after beating KU. A guy was positive the next day so the whole team is in quarantine.

Sorry if I missed it, but are these games really postponed? Or are they cancelled?

have they released when these will be made up?

Not that I’ve seen. I think it will partially depend on whether other postponed games can be made up. I know the conference has announced when some games will be rescheduled, but haven’t seen Bedlam mentioned yet.
