Bedlam women's basketball at 8 pm Monday

I didn't say you were a moron. I said you were behaving like one. Rooting for your team "to fail" is the real adolescent behavior here.

I would love for you to go into the locker room after the game as a "fan" and a "supporter" and look that team in the eye and tell them you were "sad" they lost. Oh my word. Seriously? Oh, but you've been a fan for 15 years. I'm sure they would understand you really have their best interest at heart.

So I will use your process, you are behaving stupid by your post above LOL. I NEVER said I don’t support the girls and the team, you put those words in my mouth. I said I would like this team to lose out IF it would get Sherri fired or pushed out - surely you are smart enough to have realized that was the jest of my post (or maybe not). Have always supported the team and ANY team that wears the Crimson and Cream. That being said, a coaching change is needed and sometimes you have to wish for things - example is NFL or NBA teams who have fans that are die hard but certain years they wish for their team to lose as they season goes on so they can get the first pick in the draft. Same deal here as wishing for losses to get rid of a stale done coach

The sad thing is that on a night when I assume you watched the girls play their guts out this is what your take away from the game is.

You're right, Proud. And it's not just sad, it's also a huge embarrassment to every real Sooner fan.

Frankly, I watched from home.

Spock, I would say around 1500 were there last night, not much more. I got there about 25 minutes before tip off and it looked bare, but late comers filled the east side nicely and the west was okay I guess. Being Belam, I thought we might get a true 3000 or so.

You ^ are clueless lol. Guess 25 years holding season tickets to football, 12 years men’s and women’s basketball ticket holder softball ticket holder - guess I’m not a “real” Sooner fan hahhahahhahah. Silliest post I’ve seen in years. You’re assumptions embarrass me lol. And Mrs too

I'm glad of one thing - I've never seen OU lose to OSU in women's basketball, in person. I haven't been to lots of them, but at least I didn't jinx our girls.

Her shooting has improved rather dramatically once she got her legs back. It took six or seven games to get her legs under her after the injury. The seventh game was Baylor. In these ten games, we have played everyone except Texas Tech, while catching Baylor and Kansas twice each. Ana was zero for eight from the field in the first game against Baylor. Since then, she has been on a crusade.

She certainly is the best overall player on the team and is primarily responsible for our recent wins.

No question Ana has been outstanding and playing like we all had hoped for the last few games. But I would like to see her develop her left hand. When she drives she is alway going right and the very few times she does go left it is 2-3 bounces and she pulls up well defended. A strong left hand would really elevate her game.

Also would like to see her shoot fewer scoop shots at the basket a propensity that all girls seem to have that often bites them in the backside.

Thanks Syb.

It is clearly time for posters to stop falsely claiming that no one ever improves on the team.

just considering the wonderful play of Ana, and the excellent improvement and play of Jessi, that false line needs to stop. Now.

Jessi has improved leaps and bounds over the season. And Ana has improved over this season - and has improved over even her good play last year.

It pains some of you to admit it, but you are simply wrong to claim otherwise. The only way to stop the hole from getting deeper is to - yes you know - stop digging.

There certainly has been quite a bit of improvement in Ana (in great part because she is now healthy), Jess and several others.

There also is room for a lot more improvement from those players (although I can’t imagine how Llanusa can get much better).

I think when we get a solid post and an additional 4, this team is going to be pretty good.

If you make the same examination of Jessi, her numbers are actually slightly down. Not much. FT%, FT%, and 3PT% slightly down. Points per game and rebounds per game slightly up.

Lampkin is up in FG% and FT%. Nydia was hitting about 25% in the first 17 games from the line, 60% recently.

All this being said I'm really disappointed by Tatum and how she turned out. I understand freshman seasons are usually the worst seasons because of insecurities, new environment, being away from home, etc. But I really thought she would be a much better player, certainly a much better offensive threat than what she turned out to be this year. She's not anywhere close to the number 24 player in her class (p nation) IMO by the way she's been this year. Jessie is a better player and probably a better point, I'll be interested to see how things develop in the offseason and who these girls become by next season. There seems to be potential but there are no guarantees in this program!

First Ana has been outstanding the last 10 games but I think there is definitely room for Ana to improve. Especially moving to her left. She virtually always trys to go to her right only. When she trys to go left it is 2-3 bounces and she is stopped. Also I would like to see her going away from primarily the scoop shot when she goes to the rim.

I am sure TV is probably more disappointed than any of us about her play this season. I am not blaming any of the coaching staff. Hopefully, she will have a break out year next season.

Chasity Patterson was ranked #4 by HoopGurlz and was a McDonald''s All-American. That didn't work out as well as Jessi who I don't think was ranked by either.

Madi was a McDonald's All-American who gave a pretty good performance in the All-American game. Indeed, there was one spell late in the game where she and her close friend, Chrystine Williams, the star of the game, were head on head on the left wing, at about the three point line. Chrystine kept trying to make a move on Madi and couldn't shake her. Had to pass after trying for about ten seconds.

Madi is #4 or #5 in rebounding in a power five conference, as a freshman. She's almost averaging a double-double. I don't know that she should be rated any lower.

Sherri has said that Tatum is very close to being a freshman that gets it. As of about two weeks ago, she was as high on Tatum as any of the freshmen. We don't really know what a summer will bring. With the three newcomers, I don't expect a lot to remain the same.

Right now, I see three definitive starters: Ana, Madi, and Nydia. I see Tatum and Jessi as in a rotation with neither having a clear advantage yet. I think Taylor is a key person off the bench when it is all together. I don't yet know where to fit Bloom, Gregory, Scott, Williston, and Mandy, although I think Mandy is a b ench-warmer next year, coming on in support.

I would agree with that, Syb.

But let me add that we do get more scoring out of Jess and I would keep her as the starting point.

Don’t forget Joyner Holmes! She may be the biggest bust in #1 ranked players coming out of high school.
