Don't look now, but Oklahoma State is 7-5 in conference. How in the world did they win in Ames? I know everyone likes to make fun of OSU and Boynton, but man you gotta give it up to him right now. Seems to be doing a pretty good job..

They held ISU to 24 points in the second half. They are just elite on defense.

OSU is playing as well as anyone in the league right now.
If their offense continues on its current path, they are a dangerous team.

ISU has lost four of its last five games and six of its last nine, though yesterday's was their only home loss among those six defeats.

The Pokes, WV, Tech … i.e., the other teams that were at the bottom of the standings from the outset of the season, have all improved. Even though Tech wasn’t getting results till yesterday, they kept playing hard and playing close games. That’s why I don’t buy the excuse I’ve seen from some that our team just got deflated from all the close losses. If that happened, it’s, again, on Moser. If anything, I bet our guys lost confidence in Moser because they realized that he was failing them in those close games because he was getting outcoached down the stretch.

KU seconds away from being tied for first in the loss column. Texas has to beat them in Austin or the Hawks will win it outright.

Good Lord the play KU ran to end the first half just now … BLOB play from under their own basket with a few seconds left. Ball never touched the floor, went 94 feet in three passes, Gradey Dick drains the three at the buzzer. We can’t score from under our offensive basket. That play had nothing to do with talent, other than Gradey being a great shooter. But the play design was all coaching. Think back to the times late in games where we have to go the length of the floor and we usually end up with a heave from half court.

Meanwhile, KU in a tie for first unless the Pokes make a huge comeback. They have absolutely shredded that OSU defense, which is obviously not easy. I guess the league hasn’t exactly figured out KU!

We tried to play fast with the Jayhawks. We shoot 50% and killed them on the board but lost because they couldn’t get a stop and turned the ball over

We needed to ugly up the game

I will never learn my lesson. I thought KU might make a run, but their deficiencies this year (so I thought) would be their downfall. They are going to be right there in the end.....again. I still don't think they are the most talented or athletic team in the conference, but Self sure as hell seems to make up for it.

KU is a bit like OU football was in that five year-run. You can always make a case against them but they are always there at the end.

I have little respect for Self (NCAA violations) but he can coach.
