So THAT'S how you've managed to stay single.
Lol, my money was on either Sam or ksSooner13 posting something like this. I knew someone would.
So THAT'S how you've managed to stay single.
Face value of the Texas A&M student football ticket this weekend is $39, students can now get into 16 basketball games for $1 more. There is literally no excuse for anyone who drops $180 on season tickets for football to not buy basketball tickets now. This is a great, great move by Kruger and the marketing staff and I thank them for making it. Really excited right now.
I honestly cannot remember what it cost when I was a student (in the late 80s) but I think it was either $25 or $40 and I thought it was a great deal. I hope the students today think it is a great deal. I would encourage OU to offer hot dogs to the students too. Give one to all students in the student section 5 minutes before tip off and one right before the start of the second half. I was always looking for a free meal in college.
The Reserve on Stinson will pay 100 of the 140 fee for student tickets... therefore making student tickets only $40
I'm joking, of course, but this should put an end to any complaint about student ticket prices. I just hope it will be enough to put more butts in seats.
I don't think it has anything to do previously with the prices...$140 is not a lot and everything is charged to the bursar so there is no cash paid on the spot. It has to do with a crappy product.
Yesterday, we announced that prices for student season tickets have been reduced from $140 to just $40. We know you had already agreed to pay the $140 price by signing up before our announcement and we thank you for your support. We want to let you know you’ll receive the same benefit and only $40 will be charged to your bursar account.
The rebate program is still in place for you as well – you’ll be able to receive a full rebate of your $40 if you attend 90% of the games (14 of the 16). You will also be able purchase tickets for guests - student guest tickets will go on sale November 29th at 8 a.m.
The price reduction has been made possible by The Reserve on Stinson, in cooperation with Sooner Sports Properties. The Reserve on Stinson has also agreed to offer additional benefits to you, including a $100 prize at each game, an IPad giveaway at one game this season and a night ofPizza Hut at one game.
Since we have stepped on campus, we have been talking with students from various groups and have heard that pricing is a challenge. We are happy to provide all students with this great discount on student season tickets and we hope more students take advantage of this special opportunity. Our student section is one of the most important ingredients in our team’s success at home and we need you at the Lloyd Noble Center each and every game.
Since you are one of our most loyal student fans and purchased your tickets early, we’d like to reward you with a special event during the season! Stay tuned as you’ll be contacted in the next few weeks with more details by a member of our staff.
Starting this year, ticket pick up dates will no longer take place as you will receive a season ticket booklet. You’ll be able to pick up your season ticket booklet beginning this Monday, Nov. 7 at 8 a.m. at the OU Athletics Ticket Office located on the west side of the football stadium.
Once again, thank you for your support. See you this Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Lloyd Noble Center as we take on Washburn in our final exhibition game.

If anyone cares, this is the mass email sent out from Lon to me and everyone else who purchased tickets at the $140 price point.
