Bob Przybylo’s Article on Soonerscoop

Nice article. I thought it was encouraging that we played as well as we did considering that Tanner and Goldwire didn't contribute much, and I think as the year wears on they will two of our leading scorers (Tanner for sure).

I could see Tanner averaging 15-18 points a game. Goldwire 10-12 points a game.

After watching the game a couple of times on my DVR, I think we really need some work on our entry passes into the post. My other thought after watching the game was Chargois is a much better player than I realized. He is really a good all-round player. He rebounded, defended, passed, and finished at the rim extremely well.

Also, I think we may have stolen a couple of good players in Cortes and Mason. They are both intriguing and seem to have a high upside.

I don't think Goldwire will end up one of the top 2-3 scorers, unless teams just FORCE him to be the one that scores. I know he can probably be better than he was offensively the other night, but you could also tell that he isn't an overly skilled offensive player. I would guess T-Groves, Gibson, and Harkless all average more, and it wouldn't surprise me if somebody off the bench like J-Groves or Johnson did as well.

As for post-entry passes, I feel like I've been saying for over a decade that "today's players" struggle with that. We definitely need to improve, b/c we have a guy inside that we can feed now.
