YOu are just being silly as this point. I am completely comfortable with saying anyone that earns First Team All State honors at a large school is an exceptional basketball player. It doesn't mean they are an NBA talent or even a D-1 talent but it does make them exceptional.

being a walk on at OU had to do with his basketball skill .... but him getting a scholarship .. was a reward for being a great student/teammate/practice player ..
