I wanted to give a special shout-out to a specific play during the game. One people might not immediately think about. Booker's rebound with 1:43 left was HUGE. We were up 80-78 at the time and needed a stop. He skied for the rebound and we went up by 4 on the other end of the floor.

Love this kid.

Nice post. I think he has a chance to terrorize the Big 12 as an upperclassman

I'm glad you mentioned Booker's rebound. Little things like that can be the difference in a win or a loss in a close game. I think Frank has a chance to be really special in time.

Last night's win was a total team effort. Every player on the team made key plays that contributed to an important conference road win. Knocking off the chickenhawks at home Wednesday night would give this team a great start in their quest to get an invite to the NCAA tourney again.

Not only was Booker in the right spot at the right time to get a big rebound. He stiff armed the Texas player completely off the court to get there.

I was afraid that he was going to get called because the texas player went flying. He has good strength for a freshman.

Mike Neal, Kelley Newton, Tim Heskett.... he is next line.

Heskett and Newton pretty one-dimensional players. Booker has more upside than those two. Neal and Newton JC transfers too. Booker should be in Norman for 4 years

Reminded me a little of the Quanas White block out against Zona in the NCAA Tourney.

Heskett and Neal were pretty one-dimensional. Newton ended up that way after knee surgery.

I think Booker has a chance to be better than all those guys, b/c I think he can bring more to the table. Time will tell, as Booker will need to keep improving.

Nearly 80% of his attempted shots are three pointers. Perhaps he will develop but I think it's great to have a guy like that who can fill it up. In fact, I think it's essential to have that on a really good team.

If he develops an all-around game, great. If he "just" stays a deadly 3pt shooter, that's very valuable too.

You are right. But, I agree with WT on this one. Booker is already starting to show the ability to be more than a guy you run around screens and set up with an inbounds play.

Actually I like Booker's floater from 5-10 feet as well. He needs to do it more but it will take him time to round out his game. He is making good progress. A better player than I expected even though I liked his high school highlights.
