Once again, I'll trust the top 5 of the bracket matrix over someone who scores 40th out of 113th bracketologists. The matrix itself scores better than Lunardi, in other words, an average of all brackets does better than Lunardi can do.

The committee says recent play is not a factor. It'll be interesting to see what "stat" wins out.
OU has the better overall resume than some teams (like OSU), but "recent play" is also a factor, and just about every team in the country has an advantage on OU there.
I think we probably sneak in, but we're probably looking at a play-in game.
Khadeem Lattin said:“We can definitely make it,” Lattin said. “We’re a good team. We just got to be ready to fight more often. We can’t have halves where we take off, then halves where we come back. You can’t win basketball games playing half of a basketball game.”
Christian James said:“Definitely,” James said. “I feel like when we do (make the NCAA Tournament), we're going to shock a lot of people. But we can't take it for granted.”
Kameron McGusty said:“Um,” McGusty said, “I believe so”
Lon Kruger said:“Well,” Kruger said, “it’s irrelevant. We didn’t take care of our business here, so we don’t have any say in that at this point.”
I think the narrative that they quit is ridiculous. They gave excellent defensive effort. They got killed on the boards by a physically stronger team, they couldn't hit shots, and the refs let the pokes play extremely physically, which favored them.
Not a matter of quitting though.
Bracket Matrix finally posted today's update. Now OU, K State, and Texas are all 10, Baylor is an 11, and OSU is one of the first four out.
When humans instead of the computers eyeball it, OU will be out
OU will be out
If WV beats Baylor, that will help us. They wont take 9 from league and i think OSU deserves to be in
Lunardi’s Thursday Bracketology projection had OU has one of the last four in the tournament and OSU as one of the first four to be left off of the bracket.
SportsCenter host Scott Van Pelt tweeted in support of the Cowboys: “Oklahoma State non conference blahblahblah. Look at their league wins. Who would you rather play: them or (the Sooners)? OSU looks the part to me.”
In mid-January, OU was ranked No. 4 and had a 14-2 record. The Sooners closed the Big 12 schedule with an 8-10 record and lost to Oklahoma State in the conference tournament’s first round.
“It does happen, (but) it doesn’t happen often,” Lunardi said of teams that crest at a high level and then struggle for an extended period. “Frankly, historically, those teams don’t last very long in the tournament.”
