Is it possible for a coach the bumble and stumble away the final 2 minutes any worse than KSU just did?

Those were the worst possessions you will ever see above junior high. Good thing he's taking his last timeout home for the off season.

He's a buffoon! And then the stunned look on his face afterwards was priceless!

If you're a Kansas State fan, you should be very worried about what happens when ol' Frank's players are gone.

It's hard to explain how good they played for about 18 minutes and how bad they played the last 2 minutes.

A little quick to be passing on Bruce. He did just win a share of the regular season title and made it to the finals of the conference tourney.

They got all the way back and took their foot off the gas. Stopped pressing the action and farted around until they lost. lol

Here's how bad the loss was. La Salle made no FGs the last 7:30 minutes of the game.

I agree, seniorsooner. Frank Martin is one heck of a coach and an outstanding recruiter. He's demanding, but his kids play hard and they all seem to like him. Webber has never impressed me all that much.

Lasalle came from a play-in game too. KSU had them totally on the ropes with 6-7 minutes left and they slowed down the action which allowed Lasalle to catch their breath. Clearly a brilliant strategy in front of a home crowd.

You know the turtleneckers in blue are LMAO.

he also won the Big 10 2 years in a row and played for the whole thing his second year with Self's players, but once they were gone Illinois became very average.

he also took Illinois to the championship game with Self's players, but once they graduated or moved on Illinois became average at best..

And Southern Illinois to the Sweet Sixteen - then once his players left they fell apart under Lowry.

Exactly. Just ask Illinois fans if they are glad that he is gone. I would venture to say the answer would be a collective yes.

When all is said & done Weber lost all 3 to KU and was massively upset by a play-in team in Kansas City.

That's all anybody will remember. Just like Hillbilly Ford, when all was said & done, he did zilch.

I don't know if it was coaching or players just lost their poise but that last 3 possessions were bad. They completely got away from the good team ball that got them back in the game and played one-on-one.

I'll cut the guy some slack. He had a good year. That was their TCU game.

This is always what happens to a Bruce Weber coached team, first season exceeds expectations, now from here on out, it's all about mediocre basketball... it's just how he works
