Bryce Thompson Transferring

Heard it’s Osu vs Ou.

Known boyton longer. Relationship is new with porter.

I have no clue on Trey.

I would think the longer it goes the better for OU, right? He obviously has a longer relationship with Boynton but maybe Moser has hit the right notes with him.

Maybe he likes all the attention and slow plays it as long as possible. Not sure if I agree longer it goes the better for OU. Not a betting man but if I were I bet he knows where his next stop will be and has known for couple of weeks. I say let him have all the fun with the process he wants.

this is untrue.

If this were true, you'd see his Twitter full of the "here are all the schools I've heard from," "I'm down to 6," "I'm down to 3," "I'm announcing on Tuesday at 2 pm with a follow-up ESPN interview already scheduled."

He's being pretty private about this.

Exactly. Plus, who is he really getting attention from other than diehard fans of the schools he is rumored to be considering? Even college basketball fans outside this part of the country are largely unaware who he is. It’s silly for people to be assuming the worst (that he is milking the process) without a shred of evidence to suggest it is true.

Very good point. He's taking his time, but nothing about this screams diva.

he and his family would also be after bigger offers, too. not just the state schools. lol. nothing about this has raised any red flags. i am just afraid he wants to get it right so badly this time, that he errs on the side of caution and ends up with the bad guys.

Thank you. Some dudes on here need a breather. He hasnt strung us along. We're largely playing with house money anyways. We will wait until his decision and will not give him an ultimatum any time soon

Agreed. Bryce gets to choose whether he wants to be a Sooner as opposed to the decision being made for him by us, thus we have no say and that should be readily apparent.

Heres how I see it as a homer sooner fan...

You want to defended by Harkless and Goldwire or be on their team?

This is so tasty. I love lock down defense above all else. And an offense that can manufacture points, as well. Sky’s (skyvue’s) the limit Sooners!

I guarantee OU has given him a deadline, even if it's been implied and not stated. We need another guard if he isn't coming here. Moser can't put all his eggs in this one basket. If Moser thinks Thompson is going to decide soon, he probably hasn't pushed him. If it starts dragging out much longer, or Moser doesn't think Thompson is close to deciding (unlikely) or is going elsewhere, he'll act accordingly.

No deadline. They’ll wait.

Plan b’s out there.

I really don't keep up with recruiting that much and I don't know Bryce Thompson. I do agree it is a very big decision for the young man.

Bryce is better than the osu guys except possibly Anderson (I would take BT over him). However most of their team are guys that play similar to him. Boynton has done a great job getting the guys to play hard. I'm not convinced though he is a great offensive coach. Cunningham set everything up for them last year by being able to cover a 4 or 5 and still run the point. It allowed them to play small ball.
Boynton seems to be a great guy but so does Moser. Sooners have more of a need for BT's talent. He should work work great with Groves in the post high or low.
