Bryce Thompson Transferring

I've been wanting a guy like that for years, I was hoping Vic would be that. If we could get a competent guy like that at his height/length to complement Groves at the 5 then watch out. A physical, skilled, inside out guy who can rebound at the 4? Are we allowed to have nice things?

We’ve had a lot of nice things in both the recent and more distant past, and Moser sure seems on his way to continuing that trend.

Nope. Not the scenario I described above.

Look, I(we) get how you and a handful of others feel. Please don't hijack another thread. Let it go. Be cool...for once? Take some deep breaths... Let's look forward! (Handshake)

Seems like you brought up the past with “...for years” comment, no?

I tend to agree that we haven’t had a skilled, athletic big guy for a few years. Doolittle was probably the last one and that’s debatable due to his size. Before him you’d probably have to go back to amath mbaye. I’m not sure mawein is that guy or not but he is a take IMO.

Talk about squeezing blood out of a turnip. I was creating context for my excitement about what we might get, that's all. What it wasn't meant to do was initiate the bat signal.

Skill, physicality, defense, inside/outside scoring, mental toughness, ability to actually play basketball.... at the 5 and 4 on the court at the same time would be a new phenomenon at OU. That's all i'm saying. Older Groves plus Mawein, if he does in fact fit that bill at the 4, has me excited. Pretty simple concept....

I considered spangs but he wasn’t very athletic. He had some skills but was more of a banger/fundamental player IMO. Make no mistake, I’d take spangs on my team every day of the week.

Exactly.

If we get Bryce Thompson, and Mawein, sky’s the limit.

Goldwire
Thompson
Harkless
Mawein
T Groves

Damn good bench:

Gibson
Noland
Hill
J Groves
Chagrois
Cortes
Mason
Issanza

Man.. that looks like the most talented roster at OU in some time IMO. Lot of those purported bench players could be starters.

I get it but you can see how someone might read it differently than you intended.

Lots to be excited about with ou hoops. If we get BT then this will be the best roster since the final 4 team for sure. Without him I see a good team but not enough scoring for a deep run IMO. Harmon leaving will be felt much more without a guy like BT.

Gotcha.

And yes I agree alot to be excited about!

Could’ve played d1 football as well.

Very athletic. Not above the rim athletic.

This week is the plan.

Is the prevailing theory that he knows and is dragging it out, or is he really having some sort of internal struggle and he can't make a decision? Reason I ask is because sometimes if they inform the coaches, you can tell if your team didn't get the guy if your coach starts offering or following other guards, or starts trying to execute a backup plan. Not always of course.

What is Trey Alexander's status?

I’d still expect Hill to start at the 4.

Heard it’s Osu vs Ou.

Known boyton longer. Relationship is new with porter.

I have no clue on Trey.

Man I really hope he takes a chance on the coach who has been to the final 4 and a sweet 16 at freaking loyola!
