Buzz's buyout

Marquette is a private school so it's almost impossible to find his contract, but $3.8 is the number that has been "leaked".
 
Just don't pay it. A buyout is nothing more than a liquidated damages clause. A liquidated damages clause of 3.8 million is an unenforceable penalty.

Just trust me it's not even close to 3.8 mil. I got this via text message from someone that would know. The problem isn't money. OU will pay the money for Buzz. I think it's almost 100% he's going to be here.

Why would a guy getting paid around 1 million a year get a 3.8 mil buyout?
 
So are we really convinced everyone is going to know what Joe C is going to do?

I'm of the opinion that because Buzz is out there is the obvious choice he isn't the guy.

A. You have zero sources Nick. Everyone knows that.

B. It was the guy (Rosiak) that lives in Milwaukee, covers the Golden Eagles and probably has a real source.

I'm not going to argue with you any farther (further) but between a guy who works in Milwaukee and someone that wanted Stoops fired, I'll listen to the guy that covers the Marquette team.

And he gets paid $1.5 million with 3 years left.

Put it this way, if Jake Trotter came out and stated that Bob Stoops had/has a $4 million buyout, wouldn't you trust him or would you trust me when I state it's only $2 million? Easily, the choice would be Trotter.

It's all the same. Both guys cover basketball/sports, one in Arkansas and one in Milwaukee. They'd know more than any of us.
 
You people and your "sources." In reality, any sources listed on this board mean absolutely nothing, unless they can be offcially linked to a certain person named Joe Castiglione.

The importance you place on your so-called sources is similar to the mind-set of a soccer mom/dad who is living vicariously through their child.
 
If I'm Buzz Williams and my buyout is $3.8mm, I'm hacked off that Marquette isn't paying me more. That's a hefty buyout for someone making his current salary.

Lol didn't you say on another thread that buzz to ou a a done deal? It seems you have alot of "sources"....
I know the library lady, can I count her as a source?
