Word has it the Clippers & Heat are going after him when the Cavs release him if they can't trade him.

The Thunder should ditch Thabeet & get in the mix. He's exactly what they need inside. Sure he might not hold up but if he did it could get them closer to the Heat.

When he was good a couple years ago he was one of the top overall centers in the league defensively. Not sure he's nearly that good right now. Not sure if he could get the minutes with the Thunder right now. He's basically Perkins but worse legs.

Bynum can wake up and score better than Perkins ever did. He has bad knees, and a worse attitude, but he can also score the basketball.

Yes but not enough to make a difference on offense. The Thunder play better with open lanes. Which is why Ibaka gets a lot of his points outsides of the paint. Bynum isn't a fit for OKC. And his best days are way behind him.

Bynum is a 26 year old whose been a world champion difference maker. The Heat & Clippers will recruit him. If the Thunder don't its a mistake. If yiu wouldn't ditch Thabeet to explore Bynum you're crazy.

He is a cancer that would be a detriment in the locker room.

I wasn't addressing if he is a fit in OKC because I hate the Thunder. I was addressing your comment he is basically Perkins, which is far from true. Bynum is still a dominant offensive force, and he would give the Thunder their first threat on the block.....

Now whether he fits with the Thunder model is up to the Thunder homers to debate. I couldn't care less who they sign........

Bynum can't play OKC defense so they would never go for him. Adams is about to make the starting lineup and they are looking to exit Perk next season for another young guy.

Wouldn't like it. Talent wise he is better than Perk but not with his desire or lack there of to play.

The guy has serious mental illness issues. Not what you want.

As a longtime Laker fan who cheers for the Thunder more often than not, I hope Bynum lands anywhere but OKC. I was glad when the Lakers traded him. Why would I want to see him on the roster of my second favorite team?

It's true that Andrew can be good when he wants to be. Problem is, he doesn't get the urge to play hard often enough to make him worth the space he would take up in the Thunder's salary cap. Look up the term "under achiever" in the NBA dictionary and you might find his name in bold print.

I remember the same negative opinions of Rodman. The Bulls ignored it, brought him on and won 3 more titles. The Heat want to win titles. Period. Anybody who can improve their chances gets a shot. They brought on Chris Anderson and he helped them win. They are working on Oden & word has it they will be first in line for Bynum. Lakers have the same attitude (see Ron Artest). In the playoffs it's been easy to turn the Thunder into a jump shooting team. Jump shooting teams virtually always come up short.

Rodman was still at the top of his game. The biggest issue with Bynum the last few years is heath and production. He didn't play in Philly and has not been near as good with his numbers this year. 8 Points a game and 5 boards in 20 minutes a game this year. Only 41% from the field.

Rumor is, the "conduct detrimental to the team" was an affair with an assistant coaches wife...

You have to understand...Bynum is a little different. There's no telling what he'll do next.

It would save The Lakers 20 million in salary and luxury tax; however, if they make the trade, they are basically writing off this season...

Do it!!!!! This season is pretty much written off anyway, IMO....
