Can you guys explain some Trump things to me?

I can't find the really good site that let you pick and choose states to add to your graph, but the excuse that the east coast saw it first and didn't know what to expect has little effect. It all happened very fast. Cases started ramping up about the same time in most states. It was new for everyone.

anything to deflect blame from democrat states

If democratic states knew better they would have performed better. The decisions were theirs to make thus they are complicit with the outcomes generated. I think democrats want to default to "the president is a bigger coward than we are" credo, but they lack the balls to utter the statement.

No we can just call him a straight-up coward. That doesn’t take balls as anyone can see it.

Under the European Union subsidiarity principle, the European Union does not have the legal powers to impose health management policy or actions, such as quarantine measures or closing schools, on member states.

And? That doesn't mean that their members didn't look to them for guidance and financial assistance. Did you not read the rest of it?

And? It's not like Trump and the Federal government haven't offered some guidance and financial help.

But at the end of the day, the members of the EU make their own decisions and are ultimately responsible for what happens to their own countries.

Replace EU with United States, and countries with individual states, and you have nearly the same thing.

My main point was, if you look at how the countries within the EU handled this, both the procedures and results vary a great deal from country to country. What worked in one place, didn't work in another.

You guys crack me up with your blame game. There seem to be a lot of simpletons in America who don't grasp the concept of social distancing and wearing a mask. And if I had to guess, you would find plenty of both Democrats and Republicans among those people.

Here is the list of all the states in America who have less than 5,000 positive cases per 1 million people. Granted, some of them may not be doing as much testing as others, but they at least appear to be doing something right. My guess is you will find red, blue and swing states from this list. I bet if I listed the 10 worst states in regards to population, I bet there would be red, blue, and swing states on that list as well.

Why can't everyone admit the obvious - it's an AMERICAN problem, not a Republican or Democrat problem.

Hawaii #1 - 913
Montana #2 - 2087
Vermont #3 - 2123
Alaska #4 - 2314
West Virginia #5 - 2562
Maine #6 - 2677
Oregon #7 - 3203
Wyoming #8 - 3430
New Hampshire #9 - 4496
Kentucky #10 - 4719

I've been one of those who have said we are in this together and we are all responsible. It's called common sense. I just don't like when a person uses a gun to commit a crime where some want to lay the blame on either the gun manufacturer or the gun salesman as opposed to the one who made the conscious decision to pick up the gun and pull the trigger.

Most of those states, it makes a lot of sense that they are doing well. A few surprises though (Kentucky and Oregon most notably).

Haha. What will be the excuse this time, when Trump is re-elected. Keep telling yourself whatever you want.

On today's date in 2016, Clinton had a 1.1 point lead on Trump in national polling averages. Today, 2020, Biden has a 9.1 point lead on Trump in national polling averages. Swing state polling was VERY narrow in 2016... It's not in 2020.

Very different situation.... Trump people like yourself (who I have no issue with) are overestimating how much of an underdog Trump was in 2016. He also came in as an armchair general who had been criticizing past decisions for years. Now his decisions are being criticized. It's an entirely different position to be in.

Again, 1.1 point lead on July 17, 2016. Now its 9.1.

No excuse, I'm just showing you why that tweet (from the Trump campaign) is propaganda. If you don't think it's accurate show me a credible poll of the electorate that shows a larger number of Republicans than 24-25%.

Obviously anything can happen.
I have a hard time believing that biden is a better candidate than hilary was for independents. Maybe he is. Maybe I underestimate how much the regular joe is tired of the clintons

You also have to factor in Trump hatred. Trump wasn't this hated in 2016, because he was unknown in this context. Now he is very much known and everyone hates him.

I think you underestimate how much the regular Joe is tired of the Trumps.

i don't agree. People knew who he was. He hasn't changed. Trump fatigue may be an issue but I think in general people'e sentiments to trump are the same as they were in 2016
