This is the expectation and current state of the presidency...nice

You also stated the president did not have the authority to suspend payroll taxes. You embody what you decry.

A normal person does not engage in this manner thus you are either abnormal or you purposely troll to get a rise and a response from people. Either should result in a padded stall.

I'm confused by your timeline. What happened on April 11th?

I got the dates backwards. On April 12th he said he wants to see churches open by Easter. On April 13th he tells Bob Woodward that he knows how contagious and deadly the virus is.

Abstract and Keywords
Both metaphor and hyperbole are akin to lying in saying something that is strictly speaking false (i.e., exhibits no world–word fit) and thus have deceptive potential. How close or distant the relationship metaphor/hyperbole versus lie is seen to be depends on the theoretical approach taken, which is illustrated by brief treatments of classical rhetoric, philosophy, Gricean pragmatics, relevance theory, and cognitive linguistics. From a functional perspective the overlap between metaphor/hyperbole and lying may be small, but nevertheless is present in various politeness functions of hyperbole and in using metaphors for reconceptualization and (euphemistic) disguising. Depending on the forms and contexts chosen, the distinction between hyperbole/metaphor and lying might be blurred or sharpened. The former is found, e.g., by diminishing the recognizability of the contrast between literal and non-literal forms in hyperbole, while the latter happens in case of extreme flouts or metalinguistic marking, which is possible for hyperbole/metaphors but not for lies.

so basically what I said earlier...it could be used to deceive people but in itself, it is not a lie.

Your take is ridiculous.

NOPE.

April 12 was easter.

He made those comments 3 weeks prior

Deceiving people with false statements is a lie.

Your bias is ridiculous.

Go read ABD's post, I'm tired of doing your research.

Do you tell your kids that they can't use metaphors or hyperbole because they are lies?.

I guess I need to go have a talk with the principal that this lying won't be acceptable for my children

You're right. I got the dates mixed up. He was talking about Easter, April 12th. But he already knew how deadly and contagious the virus was on February 7th.

He doesn't and didn't. He deferred them.

I guess I'm lying when I tell people everyone has the flu! Or nobody likes caviar!
I need to go see my priest for confession

Do I need to post again what Fauci was saying in early february again?:ez-laugh:

So trump knew it and people knew that trump knew it and had audio of trump knowing it but didn't come out with it until now:ez-laugh:

Yes, that's correct. Listen to the audio or keep denying the truth.

Metaphors & hyperbole are fine. But using hyperbole to deceive me intentionally for personal gain is a lie.

What am I missing?

The fact that he knew it was deadlier than the flu but still gave people hope that they could go back to church for easter?

Is that it?

Using reasonable thinking, this happened in early february. In this conversation (again, it would be nice to have the whole conversation), he said that he thought China would be in good shape. That means he thought that in a mattter of a couple months, he thought China would have had it in shape...so why is it earth shattering for him to think we could do the same?

Maybe I am missing something big here but all I see is info that isn't earth shattering. I mean it seems like in February, trumnp was taking it more serious than Fauci was.

Media is complicit in trying to get Biden, a mentally incapable rapist, elected.
