CLEMSON - Clemson's search for a new coach moved into a third day Friday, with the promise of more reconnaissance to come over the weekend.
Clemson athletics director Terry Don Phillips and associate athletics director Bill D'Andrea remained on the road with candidates' names surfacing in their wake.
Among those emerging Friday were Wofford coach Mike Young and Wright State's Brad Brownell - joining former Boston College coach Al Skinner.

The addition and subtraction of possible replacements for Oliver Purnell, who accepted the head job at DePaul on Tuesday, capped a busy week surrounding Clemson basketball, but there was more.
In Atlanta, Clemson signee Marcus Thornton on Friday officially requested a release from his national letter-of-intent to re-open his recruitment.
In Clemson, freshman forward Devin Booker continued to contemplate a potential transfer while waiting to hear who the Tigers' next coach would be, and Purnell offered some damage control by meeting with his former players for a brief but formal good-bye at Littlejohn Coliseum. He later sent a mass e-mail thank-you note to Clemson students before flying out of town.
Phillips and D'Andrea continue to travel in search for Purnell's replacement while competing with Oregon and Wake Forest for a coach from a hot list that includes Shaka Smart, a former Clemson assistant now at Virginia Commonwealth; Baylor's Scott Drew; Oklahoma's Jeff Capel; and former Winthrop coach Gregg Marshall, who is now at Wichita State.
