Just so Sky isn't stuck on an island by himself, I pretty much agree with what he said. Capel has done that stuff since Day 1 at OU though, IMO. Just the way he said things. Nearly everything he said seemed to have a hint of arrogance or immaturity to it. This is no different.

I wonder if all those players that still call Sampson refer to him as a "friend"?

That is how I read the article as well. I'm not happy about the state that Capel left the program in, but I don't see him as a bad person or selfish or anything just because he ultimately failed at OU.

No just a very bad head coach.

Honestly, though, how dumb would it have looked if Capel said "you did so much for the OU basketball program..." because all that BG did, Capel destroyed it in less than 2 seasons. I have to believe, as selfish as his blog post sounds, he would rather appear selfish than to make himself look worse as a head coach and that's pretty darn bad.

Absolutely agree. No question he is the worst basketball coach we have ever had. He is where he needs to be as the # 3 assistant Duke.
