What was the rumor? There were reports that his medical condition was so bad that his wife told him if he didn't step away for a few months she was leaving him. I'm guessing whatever he had was rather serious.

As for the Duke game last night, all one had to do was look at the post count to see who won. Had Duke lost, it would be on it's third page by now.

Fans of other ACC schools found it suspicious that K had supposedly been suffering from a shaky back for a few years, but decided to take time to rest when he had his worst team since the early '80s. He leaves and the team ends up with a losing record and Duke decides to give the poor record to Pete Gaudet to not tarnish K's all-time record (which most ACC fans I know think is complete rubbish).

It's easier to fight through pain when something good is happening rather then when you are in pain and you are losing. Obviously he was going to have to take time off to deal with the issue and what better time then when your team is struggling. Other team fans just want to find smoke on someone when there isn't any to make them feel better.
