This is the point guard our coach is going to watch this week in California. This is from Jerry Meyer of Rivals.com. It's one man's opinion, so take it FWIW.

Wouldn't describe his game as rock solid. He is on the small side, isn't known for playing defense, but is a talented scoring lead guard.

Got a rap early for being a selfish gunner with no interest in the other aspects of that game. In my opinion, he really beat that rap this summer and was a leader and distributor for his team and tried more on defense (although that is still the weaker part of his game). A lot of schools had already written him off, however, prior to this summer.

He will have options this spring. According to his travel team coach Dinos Trigonis, Florida State, West Virginia and Baylor are the latest schools to get involved.

Actually he is watching him tonight, given the time difference I think he's watching him right now.

At least I hope he is and didn't leave early to go watch Blake at the Staples center.

Ballislife.com (mixtape makers) is tweeting from the game.

Apparently Cezar is going off.
Bosco kept it close in the first with cezar pushing an early lead with an array of drives jumpers and dimes. Mater dei is up 25-21

For all those cezar haters especially that guy that scouts for ucla....cezar has over 20 pts with about 5 assists #sitdown

And that's through 3 quarters 25 minutes ago via Twitter for Android

If bosco wins this, it will prob be the biggest upset this hs season. 76-71 mater dei with 1:26 remaining. Cezar has.....a lot?

I like how that guy tweets. :ez-laugh:

BTW, you are a beast sam with the info/posts you bring on this site.

He has holes in his game, but what he can do outweighs them. he can knock down the sraight ahead three, he can beat a fullcourt man press, and he can make the right lead pass.

Final score and point total for Cezar from Ballislife twitter.

Cezar had 46 points in a 6 point loss to mater dei. Katin reinhart and xavier johnson played well for mater dei

I'll take this kid if for no other reason than his name is Cezar Guerrero. We need to get him, Wanaah Bail and Shabazz Muhammad and we're set.

Bob Barry retired so that's not going to be as funny.

beggers can't be picky and I'm sure this kid can probably score but man he looks really, really tiny.

I don't know why his size has been an issue on this board. We should have learned not to take all that into account over the past years watching the likes of Lavender, Price, and Page. I mean look at AJ. I know he was 6'3, but he was a 140. This kid put up 46 on one of the best high school programs in america. He is the best unsigned pg, period. How could you pass him up?

If this highlight video is an accurate assessment of Cezar's skills, he's got what the two point guards on our roster don't have: Outstanding handles. I love his crossover, break-your-ankle moves. His shooting stroke also looks good.

Meyer's report on his defense worries me, though. We don't need another player who can't guard his man. He has the quick feet and speed to be a good defender, so hopefully he'll work on that part of his game if OU signs him.

Thanks for the updates and the vid, Sooner23 and Sam!

People in the know: with more and more big time programs getting involved, what are our realistic chances of signing this kid?

I don't ask kids about a leader, but I can tell you that he told me he likes OU a lot. He was very excited about his phone conversations with Coach Capel and he was anticipating the visit. I believe OSU sent assistant Butch Pierre to watch him, but I also believe OU probably had Coach Capel and Assistant coach Goodman were on hand. I'll be honest, I think OU leads as of right now. That's libel to change, but I'm confident they're in the lead to this point.

I am not enamored with his game, but who else should we go after?

Who else is he planning to visit?
