From his height/build and description ("very athletic, energy, shot blocker "), sounds like a second coming of Longar Longar. Hope he can stay healthy and be as productive. LL is one of the best/underrated players of the last 10 years.
No dis on longar but I think he'll be light years ahead of where he started.
Really? LL put up 27(ish) as Frosh in one game. I sure hope you are right. What do the national guys think of this kid? I was glad to see that Huggins wanted him.
Kid can PLAY!

McNeace is raw. After playing this summer for Danny Granger’s D1 Ambassadors (NM) he has moved from Illinois to Texas. Allen HS will be getting a big time athlete (He won the Top 100 Camp slam dunk competition in spectacular fashion).

Flat out one of the most athletic posts in the Class of 2014 anywhere in the country. McNeace could be a pro if he continues to work hard.

The player with the biggest upside may well be 2014 P 6’10″ Jamuni McNeace (Allen, TX). McNeace only started playing basketball in high school and is making gigantic strides. He’s super long, athletic and wants to dunk everything. He averaged 10 ppg/11 rpg/4 blocks pg.
They have him ranked 73rd in Texas. Thats not a good sign. I did hear he is one of the more athletic bigs in Texas though.

Good pickup! Is he visiting anywhere else or shutting it down?
#71 overall in Texas and rivals has him as a 3 star. Im not saying he is a world champion. I think is nice piece LK will do just fine with...
JM: So, I lived in Texas my freshman year and I was kind of undersized. I was 5’11” I was an undersized post, so I didn’t make the team my freshman year. I ended up going to live with my mom for that summer after the school year ended and she ended up making me stay down there for my sophomore year. And from that time, from my freshman year to my sophomore year, I grew a few inches. I was 6’3 going into my sophomore year and about 6’6 coming out. My HS coach decided that I was good enough to start playing ball, he came to my class and talked to me and told me he’ll work with me. So before school, I’d go and work out with him at 6 AM on ball handling, and then I’d go to school, and after school we had practice and he helped me a lot. So he’s a big part of that.

Rivals says 3* but I dont get caught up in that. I agree if he RS then it can do nothing but help him and us long term. But if he is ready to play, then its hard to keep athletic and energy guys off the court. Esp if we are trying to score like the Michigan! If he redshirts the way he said he might in the interview, that would make him an RSFr the year Bennett and Hamilton are seniors and Spangler is a junior... that overlap could be extremely beneficial to him, playing bench minutes but not getting exposed and losing confidence. I don't think a 2-star commitment has ever felt so exciting.
Shutting it down I think. He is all in to OU.
I think we pick up 1 more before early signing. Then wait to see what happens.
