Courtney and DRob

Looks like Both should be starting today

Danielle Robinson will not play due to overseas commitments

Courtney with 10 pts and 14 rebounds to lead the Shock with a double-double. Skylar Diggins had 25 and 8 assists in 22 minutes. I hope to see similar production from her throughout the summer. DRob didn't play, as aforementioned. Whitney did, scoring two free throws in about 12 minutes. It was better than some players got.

Huge day for Skylar!

Indeed. It'll be interesting to see her and Odyssey on the court together, plus Riquna Williams and Angel Goodrich. That's a good set of young guards for the extended future.

Whitney Hand Jones has been waived by SA stars.

Aaryn started for the Chicago Sky tonight, she had 4 points an assist and 2 turnovers in a win over the Indian Fever. Looks like there trying to turn her back in to a point guard, she should make the team...

That would be great if she made the team!

I hope it works out for her. I always used to hold my breath when she started dribbling in traffic.

Courtney Paris had double double in the game for the Shock last night, but she went to the line and missed 2 free throws that would have tied the game and sent it to OT... Dang haha sounds like old times when she wasn't a good free throw shooter.

Mac, actually it is not like old times or really old times (high school). At OU she made the FT's under pressure when Baylor and Texas, specifically, tried the Hack-A-Courtney many times when she did not even have possession of the ball. In high school and club ball she was a very good FT shooter.

You might be able to name a handful of games in which she made some free throws but overall, she was a poor free throw shooter.

My point, relative to Mac's comment was that she always made them under pressure, when the games were on the line (such as was the case last night versus SAS). FT shooting success declined at OU. Why? Who knows.

I haven't noticed any other players who suddenly forgot how to shoot free throws when they arrived at OU.

Norm, what's your point? I stated "who knows?" meaning I find it odd as well. Calm down. Geez.

My point is simple. Courtney was never a good free throw shooter at OU and has never been a good free throw shooter in the pros. She has a fundamentally flawed shooting stroke. You have alleged that she shot free throws and 3-pointers well in her younger years prior to OU. I have serious reservations about that.

As far as calming down, I couldn't be more calm.

Whatever. I stand by my initial point...she was more successful shooting under pressure a OU.

Courtney Paris is the best player to come thru OU IMHO, but like most post players she's not a really good ft shooter.
