Darion Strong-Moore transferring?

Doolittle may get some time at the 3 especially later in his career.

That is said about most of our 4s & never happens. I don't want them to be 3s in the age of small ball & LK likes athletic bigs.

Looks like DSM has deleted his Twitter. Saw on another board that he had deleted all of his OU stuff off of it before his account went away.

It's beginning...

This. I was waiting for somebody else to say it first, but you nailed it.

I get tired of posters bashing kids. Kids who are still growing up, learning how to develop skills, learning how to discipline their minds to discipline their bodies. Learning how to inculcate techniques into the physical. It takes time, perseverance, and patience. Sometimes, things just don't work our for a person in the way that they saw, or see, life unfolding. It's just to easy to sit back and criticize athletes for not performing to a level of fans' expectations.

Yep, I agree. Been on both sides of it now as a pessimistic fan. My statement was that I just thought the term was rather funny, albeit political in 2017. ChilLAX

I dont care if you ridicule me for being sensitive or not. The whole snowflake is just a juvenile taunt when someone has no other leg to stand on.

Any time you criticize someone you should fully expect a reply. Not expecting one or feigning disgust if it isn't a positive is completely naive and juvenile on its' own.

But I dont mean to use big words you guys can't understand.

You guys? Now I'M offended by you grouping me into calling you a "snowflake". Made my observation about how that term pisses some people off to where in this day and age you can be offended about literally anything. This argument is futile since I am not 'attacking you' but rather you stoop even lower to say I can't understand Bigly Words. If only you knew Buddy! :dance005:

I am not sure how I feel about this news. I always hate to see a guy leave after he has already been through a large part of the learning experience. I certainly understand it from his perspective though. We are fine as long as we don't have any injuries at this position.

I actually thought he was way better at the end of the year. Hit some big 3's, and didn't turn it over as much. Figured he could've given us production like Dinjiyl Walker during the FF run (the course of that year he had some great games off the bench).

yes, if only I knew. Here I am being all transparent and open ... but if only I knew your secret, hidden, nowhere-else-referenced skills then I'd sure feel put in my place. /sarcasm

For the record, I'm the one who was called a "snowflake". My skin is pretty thick, so I'm fine with it. That said, I will always stand up for the OU players who are giving it their all. I also want their families and friends to know that the overwhelming majority of OU fans appreciate their contributions to the program regardless of how much or little impact they have on the court.

As for Darion Strong-Moore, if he decides to transfer, I wish him nothing but the best of success and happiness. As for who to replace him, I would love someone who is a good shooter from outside. If we can't get that, then a lock-down defender would be my next choice.

makes me sad about DSM. He had gotten better towards the end and I thought he was gonna be a good factor for next year. I hope it works out for him too.

:woot

It's possible to appreciate a player's contribution and all that jazz, and still think it's best if he moves on. Plenty of stories around here about his attitude, and not buying in. And he probably isn't leaving on his own accord. So if LK thinks it is best that he leaves OU, who am I (or anybody else) to disagree with that?

While I don't want OU to turn into a program with constant turnover, I'm not against moving on from guys when the time is right. Nobody shed a tear when Grandstaff was shown the door, and he has 10x the potential that Strong does.

Bet some of you have said some pretty "mean" things about some of the OU football players before too. Thinking Jordan Evans most recently.

Literally said something similar two posts above; so where is the disconnect here? It's because I laugh at the dialogue between people over the word 'snowflake'? OK!

Back to topic, DSM is making the best decision for him. Trae is going to get most of the PG playing time.... probably in the 33-35 minutes per game. That leaves 5-7 minutes for a backup and DSM will have to battle Sheperd for those. He can transfer and sit out a RS year and no doubt get a lot more playing time at a mid-level D1 school.

Might be best for his surgery to have a redshirt year too

I think a mid level D1 school would be good for him. I'm just wondering when the announcement will be made. Until then, schools can't talk with him

I'm wondering if they are waiting until the surgery and everything is complete, that way it's still covered by OU

It surprises you that I pay little attention to your posts???

The disconnect here is your history of dweebish posts.

He needs the surgery. It can't be fun having your shoulder dislocate every couple of weeks!

no kidding!

that really blows because the progress he had made would have really benefited us.
