I agree with the suspension or disqualification; however, I would note with children an unwritten implied rule is severely enforced when broken. With professionals a written rule (ball pressure) in intentionally violated and nothing happens. You may find examples of this with our political leaders too. Both sides lie, cheat and steal all the time. Is it any wonder the average citizen is doing things like this?

People seem to want it both ways in regards to blowouts at this level. They don't wan the winning team to keep extending the lead, but they complain when the kids start having fun. I agree they shouldn't be shooting at the wrong basket, but I certainly played in competitive baseball games where we'd get ourselves out intentionally, or bat left-handed. How else can you keep from running up the score?

First time I heard the term "travesty of the game" was actually in slow pitch softball. We were killing a team, and I moved some guys around so they could play positions they didn't normally get to play. The ump about blew a gasket.

I think you misread that a bit or I have. Both teams tried to lose. It wasn't a blow out when those things happened. One school then stopped trying to lose and then blew out the other team. The winner had to play the best team in the Playoffs and both were in the playoffs regardless of the results.

No doubt that most of our "leaders" are NOT to be admired. The example they set will be the ruination of the country. It is so sad that the average citizen can clearly observe the wealth, fame and success that come to those that lie, cheat and steal. Then these "leaders" share the spoils with their cronies. I cannot stand to watch the "news" as it is always SSDD, if you know what I mean.

Everyone wants to win, but winning through honesty, integrity and hard work is even more admirable since it so rare. In my little world, I am thankful that the OU basketball coaches try to win the right way.

As much as I dream of a Basketball National Championship for OU, I would be heartbroken if we cheated to get there.

The dumbasses should have just reversed the hoops they were shooting at and played real game where the team that scored the most won by losing. I se no problem with trying to maximize your chances of winning a championship,
